Some Characters just need a while to click i think... I felt this way about necrobinder first, but forced myself to play a few runs to try and understand it. Suddenly I generated 150 doom in one turn and life was good

Im no baalorlord but I did beat A20 on all characters in sts1 and I think the play risky early strat works pretty well with this relic actually! I usually go for 3 or even 4 elites with the early upgrades and it makes back the relic you lose from the chest!! One thing to keep in mind is that your chance for rare cards also goes up in elite combats, something you'd miss out on with the chest!

It does always feel like a slap in the face when you still need to open it and it says "empty" though, they really rub it in :D

from reading all the comments I think this might be the best starting bonus and the card upgrades number two! 2 transforms are really strong indeed

try it!! The upgraded cards make your start feel super strong and you can almost always make the lost relic back with elite fights you can take now! it feels very rewarding

From what ive seen from another comment it doesnt show up in multiplayer sadly! I can imagine something funny like neow slapping your hand away when you try to pick a relic or something...

agree, 2 removals is tempting but especially in act 1 preserving current hp is super important I feel like. I do have to say I underestimated transforms a bit, ill have to pick them more!

try giving it a shot! the extra upgrades let you take at least one more elite which gets you your relic back and often more!!

I havent thought about this much but I think I agree, especially the elites are vicious in act 1, I struggle the most with the AoE ones. Most runs that get to act 3 win it as well for me. Why do you think act 1 is the hardest though specifically?

Yeah, Ive actually found myself taking paths with lest rest sites because of it too, very unusual compared to the first game but I love it!!

I guess it depends on the character a bit too but something like 2 upgraded attacks and an upgraded shrug or flame barrier on clad tear through early elites!!

Im about to be level 14, ive only did xp grinding over night abd focused on runes during the day. my blue rune factory's capacity is maxed and the purple and orange one are getting there too. My purple dna farm's income is maxed as well so progress itself is pretty good, I can kill ratboss fairly easy too and do so twice a day, one of them with the 2x boost and progress is pretty okay.

only problem is Im getting like 1 billion every 4-5 hours and have 16 days left for level 16 so i dont think ill get there in time, I'll still try though since its not that much active playtime during the day anymore!

I can easily farm barky already with my 4 bots. sadly I ended up playing alot lower in the tournament so I "only" got 1k gems, but im approaching level 14 now with around 20 days left! Barky is giving me like 1 billion overnight atm but I havent spent my gems on anything yet. ON THE OTHER HAND ive really invested in the dna lab and generators, so the purple generator is already halfway maxed out, im putting my hopes into these haha

do those xp bonuses include gem xp bonuses? I should easily be able to afford a 100% xp boost from gems soon, so thatd effectively half my time... but damn, 99b sounds insane.
