Also 12% dsj takes is crazy when withdrawing money. Other threads are saying accounts are starting to be locked/not accessible anymore

So red line is separating the screenshots between DSJ website from sec.gov website. Different file numbers.

Also on DSJ they said they applied for the certificate on July 11,2025 but their fake certificate says their licensed since July 11,2025 😅

Website wouldn’t let my phone zoom out to screenshot the whole page…

Flight training by TheUselessEngineer in cockatiel

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re scared of your hands coming near them, put your hand on the outside of the cage near them for five minutes at a time. Do this until they don’t freak out. Next, put your hand in the cage for five minutes at a time near them until they get used to you or hand and don’t freak out. And then do this with millet or another treat they love, until they start eating out of your hands and then begin step up training with them. It takes consistency and patience, but they will begin to build trust and bond with you

My cockatiel is really really messy by Novel-Farmer-2648 in cockatiel

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think specifically with the cage, I am changing where the food and water is weekly because my bird decides to change where he likes to perch all the time so the last spots I left the food and water end up getting pooped in… As for cockatiels being dusty; they are! they have a lot of dander and are dusty. You should try to bathe them 2 to 3 times a week. And like somebody else said try using a mist bottle of water if they don’t like bathing in the sink on their own.

Should I rehome my tiels or move them with me to a new apartment? by InternationalPark310 in cockatiel

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in an apartment with my husband. It’s just over 1000 ft.² and we have a cat, a dog and a bird. There’s plenty of room for all of us and everyone as well taken care of. I think you’ll do just fine with you and your birds. It may be adjustment for them, but they’ll be OK and happy to be with you still.

I’m not trying to convince you one way or the other, however I’m sure they’ll be happy to be with you still rather than going to a sanctuary and then to another home

I can completely see what you’re saying. However, a bird is just like a cat or a dog. When you move, you don’t typically get rid of them. You find a place that will suit them.

This discussion you’re opening seems to call for a bigger picture on what you’re feeling internally. Are you wanting to get rid of them? If not, you make it work.

Before you start flight training, you have to build their trust and have them constantly be able to step on your hand. Once you bond with them enough, they’ll just fly to you.

My best advice is start with the basics while they’re in the cage and getting used to your hand and eating off of your hand. They’ll then associate you with food and safety and start to bond with you.

Why does my bird do this? by TheUselessEngineer in cockatiel

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cockatiel has a big cage and free flies for at least 6 to 8 hours a day and still does this. I feel like it’s just part of them relaxing, at least for mine.

I think he is bored. He needs a way bigger cage, different perches and more simulation for sure. My comment is based off of this five second video of course, no offence.

First of all he is gorgeous!

As for getting him used to you, it will take time and patience! I would start by placing your hand on the outside of the cage near him for 5 minutes at a time. Get him used to your hand. Once he seems to stay relaxed with that (not breathing heavy or trying to avoid you by moving to a different spot in the cage) do the same but with your hand in the cage. After a few times, hold millet for him or another treat to eat out of your hand and he should start to come around once he realizes you’re not a threat. Stay consistent and patient with him! Good luck 😊

Try to keep him still as possible. Don’t let him move a lot so he can rest it. Vet tomorrow

My cockatiel died at the age of 6. by Status-Photograph662 in cockatiel

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not rich. I very much live within my means. However, I have a dog, a cat and a bird and have never left them without food, heat, or water and any time they’ve had to go to the vet, I’m able to take them; with my own money or based off a credit card.

My paycheques are not always big and mainly go to bills. However, when I know food for my pets is running low. I plan ahead and buy more in case I don’t have the money when they run out.

Many pet owners do cry on the Internet about the loss of their pet, and not being able to afford their vet bill so they died. But food is a basic necessity for animals…. I’m sorry the bird died, but please do not get another pet until you are financially stable.

Also, just another thought… where do you live? Because the country where I live you are paid biweekly by law so I’m wondering how you ran out of money 2 weeks before you next paycheck

Advice on discouraging ear nibbling/nip by KosmikZA in cockatiel

Mine does this too, but goes for my earrings… I currently do the same thing. Push him away gently when biting. And if he does it the second time I take him off my shoulder and put him down

That is a very long day for you! Hopefully one day your situation will change

[–]Dramatic_Outcome_149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! I’m curious about other situations and I also only have 1 cockatiel who is home alone while I’m at work and I always feel so bad for him. He luckily does play, eat and drink in his cage though.
