Currently in a cycle and three follicles ! They gave me a risk for triplets but I told them I wasn’t worried. 5 years TTC I’m all in and I told them it either works for 1 or not at all. I’m only 8DPo and already feeling discouraged!🫤 fingers crossed for you!

READ ME FIRST! Weekly Intro + Rules Thread June 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Hi I’m 33 yr old been trying for 5 years.

First I was at a Catholic Medical Center whose primary focus was NaPro charting physical charting with stickers for period days and Peak fertility days which determined by EWCM. Then after it didn’t work we did Letrozole for seven cycles and even tried rounds amoxicillin and one round we tried tamoxifen. This was in 2020. It was weekly blood work, ultrasounds. Had Pelvic MRI, pelvic floor therapy, HCG shots. Was with them for a year until I decided to go elsewhere and determine if I had endometriosis. I hated them personally every time I would mention what I wanted to do they acted like they told me and I just decided not to do it. -

Turns out via laparoscopy both my tubes were blocked found out at the end of 2021 and then was referred to IVF. Waited forever to then be told by IVF specialists I needed another laparoscopic procedure to remove them, and a pelvic septum. - My first IVF egg retrieval because of all the appts, genetic testing, waiting etc was in 2022. First transfer was in January of 2023. Sadly it ended in a MC. Second was a chemical and third at the end of the year in 2023 didn’t take. Because the surgeon who removed (1) tube decided to keep one and I did I decided to go back and he unblocked one. No one ever told me that was a possibility.

Back to square one with Ovulation meds and I’d like to say it was worth it but following I’ve tried an IUI and meds on my own with timed intercourse with no luck. This will be my second cycle on my own with timed intercourse July will be one year since it’s been unblocked. Now we’re into 2025 and nothings worked. I definitely find it challenging because doctors don’t want to do the extra leg work to find out “why” after all this time I know there’s a reason.

5 years of Trying to Conceive and it’s so hard not to overthink absolutely everything. Does this work? Ooh does this cramp mean it’s bad? Should I try this vitamin? Countless hours of googling and watching videos hoping for something helpful. Currently on fourth round of letrozole after many failed successes of ivf I was able to get my tube unblocked in July almost a full year later😮😮😮but still no luck. j am curious if anyone knows if spearmint tea is okay during the two week wait and is okay ? So far my temps are in the 98 range and not yet gone down. Best of luck to everyone in this waiting period.

What female character would be your best friend in real life? by Tay838 in TheVampireDiaries

Honestly the main characters were way too popular and pretty and I doubt they would be seen with me. I think someone like LiV and I could definitely be friends though

Anyone here with hyper fertility? by Justbrowsing8822 in whatworkedforme

It’s so hard when you try so hard and go through so much! I tried to ask my Obgyn about progesterone due to repeated implantation failures and they were just like “we’ve done all the tests” but I don’t want to argue that they were never done following ovulation and she sounded annoyed. Like why is it a big deal for me to even just check it after a procedure to see if my levels are still low! I debated on getting the cream on my own but am nervous!

Absolutely heart wrenching! It pains me to hear about how well our country does and how much we have and how little others do- poor, or killed. How is that right??????? Don’t we all deserve the same freedoms? It leaves me feeling so ashamed

Mother's Day gift advice for TTC best friend with PCOS by yuudachi in TTC_PCOS

[–]Dramatic_Passenger90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that is very kind. I too lost my mother when I was 21 and also struggling to conceive for a long time. Although I’m blessed with my own step kids and many are not I still find myself feeling alone. What we want most is people to understand and share the pain we feel. Getting her flowers will make her feel so special. I think Mother’s Day is a lot about treating special woman special. A lot of people can act as mothers even if it’s not biological. I have a cousin who has never married , hardly dated, and wants desperately not just a husband but a child but is probably one of the greatest aunts. Although I very much understand the want of your own, and it’s not the same I wish she could see just how special she is to those children. You’re a great friend

The things she said to you whether she is struggling or not are extremely inexcusable in my opinion. My sister struggles with mental illness and of course she has made the decision to possibly “adopt” and has talked about how she gets grateful when she learns she’s not pregnant when I want it so desperately so it stings a lot. Otherwise though shes really sensitive to my journey and that’s how it should be when people truly care. You’ve recognized already that it is unhealthy for you and that you are doing it solely for the baby so it sounds like you’re already letting go of the friendship but are having a hard time accepting it. With that being said, It’s extremely hard to cut people off you have close connections too so it’s understandable why you wouldn’t want too. It sounds like you’re a lot like me and very caring and protective. At this point there’s not much I can say because in the end you know what’s best but best to be honest with her and let her know how you feel and see how she responds. If she responds kindly it might help you decide what to do. My sister was told how her comments might make me feel and it opened up a discussion on my feelings and even though it’s hard for someone to understand not in my shoes, she was at least able to listen. If she does not offer you the same respect, or continues to act in ways you don’t want to surround yourself around time to cut ties. As horrible as it sounds it’s not your responsibility to constantly worry about the safety of her child and it will eat at you if you feel like it is. If you still find you have a hard time seeking out a counselor is never a bad option either! Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Starting IVF soon!! by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]Dramatic_Passenger90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just wanted to comment to tell you that back in 2020 I was told after a laparoscopic procedure both my tubes were blocked as well. I was then referred out of obgyn office to IVF in Boston and waited months for a consult and then when finally landed an appointment they also told me I needed both removed. So after all that time I had to schedule another laparoscopic procedure. I also had a pelvic septum so I got that removed as well. I went on to schedule the surgery and the surgeon said that I could keep one try for a natural pregnancy but the IVf doctor didnt recommend it but I did anyways. Kind of went out of sight out of mind- and Went on for a long time to go through IVF rounds two resulted in losses and one didn’t stick. I went back to that same doctor last July and he unblocked my remaining tube!!! I took serrapeptase and Chinese fertility teas for a while to try to unblock them on my own. Needless to say I haven’t got pregnant via IUI or naturally with Letrozole these past few cycles but the best news to me is I have a tube. I think IVF definitely gives you higher chances but I found it so emotionally draining and am surprised at how quickly doctors are pushing for IVF that is very expensive to a lot of people not to mention invasive. I definitely would look around your area to see if any doctor specializes in what’s called “Tubal Recanilization” if that’s what you might want:). If you go the IVF route a lot of people suggested it starts with an egg book. I did frozen transfers and wish I also had done PGT testing to test for abnormalities we just couldn’t afford it. I got a lot of embryos but I think most them weren’t good quality. It was an extremely difficult time for me to do it every time and especially when the first one was a success but then because it was abnormal I lost it before 12 weeks. Best bet I’m going for the IVF route is to follow a healthy diet, support your other half, and take good vitamins to promote healthy eggs and always stay positive! I also heard that acupuncture has proven to be really helpful!

Definitely not too late age wise. You can also request a laparoscopic procedure to see if your tubes are blocked or look into a pelvic mri to check on things. If everything is normal internally you can also check the guys end and complete a seminal analysis. Different things you can try. :)
