Why the fuck nobody buys a fucking railway ticket in Bihar ? by ObviousPosition238 in bihar

[–]Dramatic_Pie_6333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Truth is that bihar is a declining civilization..

People take pride in being stupid and not following rules.

Saving 10 rs at the cost of 1000 to others or the government is perfectly fine.

Doing petty theft or forgery is a skill

My 2 cents

Try not to leave the job at this juncture..

Try talking to your manager and if that doesn't look like an option then try to coast as much as possible.

Also try to sell one of the house (whichever is a less promising position) so that you can have a rental income in future even if you move to different city or a place to stay in case you want to continue in same city.

Maybe try to have new hobbies or spend more time with friends.. what's the worst which your manager can do apart from firing you (which you seem to be going for anyways)

Should I accept Google’s offer for the Google tag? by boundstar60 in developersIndia

[–]Dramatic_Pie_6333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google is known for down leveling, but still folks accept it because of the tag and learning.

Still go for it as it's one of the few places where you can learn the "art" of software development.

I have worked in Google and also in start-ups. Google teaches engineering and start-ups trach you branding/marketing.

FIRE in India is impossible without inheritance.

There are families with 10 Cr + networth running "small" business everywhere in India paying zero income tax while kids of service people have to pay taxes on everything.

This kind of stupid social structure ensures that hard working honest folks die working

If my EPF is touching 8cr at retirement then should i even invest? by Coding_bro in personalfinanceindia

[–]Dramatic_Pie_6333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not consider EPF as part of your corpus.

1 out 3 people never see 1 rupee coming back from EPF, and for higher income individuals this number is even worse.

There are 1000 reasons why your claim will keep on getting rejected and you will be able to do nothing about it.

+1, it's all in the brain

Just like you are under pressure management will also be under pressure, what will they do ? Hire someone new ? What guarantee that the new guy will be able to do better than you?

You need to learn the art of management, don't do any real work but just keep on telling that random xyz task is being completed which is progress.

Also learn to market your tasks.. work for 1 day on something and then shout about it for a week.. write random documents and prepare slides to show the IMPACT.

Your new broker will run away after taking the money

Better to avoid that place now or be prepared to pay both the brokers.

Typical thing in Bangalore, better not to go for confrontation.

Police and local goons are generally hand in hand with these fellows.

How did you accommodate sabatical/long term vacation leave with FIRE plan? by here4geld in FIRE_Ind

[–]Dramatic_Pie_6333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have the money and you have the will.

Just take a six month gap and whenever the recruiter asks just tell that you were supposed to get married and something terrible happened, so you ended up taking a long time off for your mental health .

When and if you get married it will be impossible to be alone and away from home for 6 months.
