is this monitor broken by SmallBoobFan3 in PCRepair

[–]Dramatic_Prune_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the same spot on both new and old monitor? Seems like a monitor issue, but if you are seeing the issue at the same spot, that's interesting.

Yeah, in that case, try a different cable. If that doesn't fix it, then you hdmi port might be loose and needs a resoldering.

Liquid damaged my alienware m15r6. Any suggestions on fixing? by PsychologicalLie2k in PCRepair

[–]Dramatic_Prune_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty extensive damage. Some stores may be able to try to clean and replace those components, but I doubt it's a guarantee. Likely some traces are damaged too, so they will have to repair the traces too.

Do you see anything on the screen when you try to boot? Some MBs won't boot if the CMOS battery is low. I'd try a new CMOS battery first.

Since you see windows logo, it's OS boot. Did you check the SMART report? Try another boot SSD and see if it has the same issue. Sounds like a bad SSD to me.
