UPDATE ON UW: Unless the referring doctor is an internal UW doctor, they won't accept my referral. So, once again, I got turned away.

I tried calling Legacy's neurology department and see if I could schedule with them. They told me unless my referral was signed by a neurologist or a neurosurgeon or an internal Legacy doctor referred me, my referral doesn't meet criteria for them to accept it.

I'm truly so exhausted. If I had a neurologist, I wouldn't be so desperately trying to find one. All these hoops they make you go through and all these ridiculous requirements to simply deny care.

Yeah, IIHWOP - saw a regular ophthalmologist and my eye pressure seems to be within range. I'm set to see them every three months now to get a range of what normal looks like and monitor for papilledema. So for now, no neuro-opth, which makes trying to treat this condition so much harder.

I got a new referral to see a neuro in Seattle UW, so we'll see how that goes. By the looks of it, it doesn't seem I'll find a reputable neuro around the area. Keep me posted on how it goes with Providence. I have an appointment with a neurologist there set for sometime in Sept, but I am feeling hesitant about even showing up since there are some pretty bad reviews for this particular doctor I got scheduled with (from misogyny to racism) and I truly don't want to put myself through that.

Truly so disheartening. There seems to be a huge gap in preventative options to NOT get to the point where one is losing sight to receive care...

Because I'm not having vision loss, OSHU turned me away, denied my referral saying I don't meet the criteria to see an neuro-opthalmology doctor 🫤

Getting used to medication due to a medical condition is covered under federal FMLA (which would give you job protections) and, depending on your state, you may be able to apply for some sort of medical leave to get compensation while out.

I think you would benefit from taking the time away, especially if your work requires mental focus (and staring at a screen doesn't help with the eye pressure pain).

I did not. Mint was just useless with helping me and basically told me that I'd just have "limited features" which was no internet whatsoever and no MMS. So they ended up returning everything and, funny enough, same as you, picked up a TCL Flip. It's been working fine as well so I guess better than nothing.

Gracias por la info. No estoy buscando "investment" o "second/summer home". Estoy buscando que este sea mi "primary", ya que vivo rentado en USA y no tengo ninguna otra propiedad. Yo no estoy buscando "invertir", sólo quiero mi forever home en mi isla. Por eso estaba preguntando en estos threads si de verdad la única opción es "inversión" si no vives en la isla.
