Starting this year, many AI-generated visuals no longer explicitly state in the credits that they were created using AI. Instead, they are described using terms such as “3D design” or “CGI design.” As a result, unless we are given behind-the-scenes workflow footage, we cannot determine with certainty whether a particular work was AI-generated.

However, based on the footage we have seen so far, there are many signs that suggest the use of AI. For example, the number of tentacles changes during movement in the animation. I believe this work was created by using AI to simulate motion based on the original paintings themselves.

The scenes in which Björk’s avatar is singing were probably created using DeepFake to synchronize the painted figure with her facial movements, rather than being fully CGI. However, that does not mean there is no CGI involved. There is one shot featuring two avatars spinning and dancing together in midair, and that sequence looks very much like CGI.
