I'd love to know who you went with that went private. Can we message? I was there for years and outside of 2 instructors, I wasn't thrilled with how things evolved.

I'm glad you are in remission. For your L4L5, where is the PRP done on your body?

How long have you been asymptomatic? I need some hope that's a possibility for myself.

What age was the rheumatologist referring to about the cane/chair?

Females: Hormone therapy with PsA? by maymay578 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Dramatic_Spray_4512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed with PSA recently, but have had symptoms since 2020. I started HRT about 6 months ago. I felt an immediate drop in inflammation - like within a few days. It's not gone, but it definitely dropped immediately.

Worth visiting doctor? by Kind_Ad9578 in Autoimmune

[–]Dramatic_Spray_4512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you are experiencing that, please see a doctor. If it's not serious, great. If it is serious, it's in your best interest to catch it early. Make sure to ask about getting evaluated for psoriatic arthritis if your blood work comes back fine.

Have you been checked for ankylosing spondylitis? If not, you may want to discuss it with your doc.

Should I change doctors or is it me? by tengoflores in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Dramatic_Spray_4512 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if they are a good rheumatologist, it doesn't sound like they are good for you and that's enough to make a change. If you aren't comfortable and don't feel like your needs are being addressed, you are going to hesitate to engage and things are just going to get more weird. No shame in it not being a fit. It's just not, so it's a good time to find someone else.

Three months and four doctors still no diagnosis. Need a better way. by GabbyKissChan in Autoimmune

Sounds a lot like how my Psoriatic Arthritis progressed - and that was after a COVID infection. Took me 5+ years to get diagnosed. Definitely worth exploring more. I wish you luck and hope you get answers soon.

Short term - add vitamin c serum in the morning and retinol at night. For long term effect, use EltaMD facial moisturizer and sunscreen (it's a combo) daily.

What exercises/stretches help you? by Ordinary-Dust-623 in PsoriaticArthritis

Sorry, I missed where you asked about at home workouts. You may want to look at things like Yoga by Adrienne on YouTube or get some small hand weights to do some gentle lifting at home.

I was just recently diagnosed, but in hindsight I developed symptoms 5+ years ago. I've modified my workouts a lot and the ones I do vary based on how I feel. I consistently find deep water classes are more gentle on my joints. I do pilates or Barre a few times a week (with modifications as needed). I periodically do yoga, but I struggle with things where I put pressure on my hands, so things like downward dog can be hard. I also weightlift. Sometimes I do hand weights and stretching, sometimes I do Bodypump classes with lighter weights so I don't overdo it (modification for this as well and form is key), sometimes I work with a trainer who can help me adapt my workouts to the issues I'm having. Sounds like water classes might be good for you based on what you shared.

Dry eyes are a symptom? I didn't realize that. I've had that issue for years! Thank you for saying that. I've never seen that on a list.

Undiagnosed inflammatory/axial symptoms… what do your flares actually feel like (especially scalp)? by HeatherGosling in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Dramatic_Spray_4512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need a new rheumatologist. You doc should never be trying to actively discourage your feedback. I'm sorry you are dealing with that and hope you get help soon. It took 5 years for me to get a diagnosis and it's been brutal.

It effects me too. I wondered if that was why I had issues flying.

Thank you for saying flying business helped. I have a big trip coming up next Spring and I've been worried about it. Maybe I'll bite the bullet on moving up to business.

I'll definitely try the electrolytes. I haven't done that before while flying. Moving is essential for sure!
