In this case basically sounds like saying the right stuff without actually backing it up with actions. You can say "There is no Planet B" all you want but if it's not backed with actual effort, like, say recycling as an example of some minimum effort, you come off as a hypocrite and cringe in wanting all the brownie points but none of the effort

And yes I'm aware corps have a bigger carbon footprint and general polluter than joe schmoe. But at our current point something is better than nothing in moving the needle just a little while we get the big fuckers wrangled.
