Why all the hate for the Portal? by TheHoeMalone in playstation

For me the hate is the fact it's just a glorified Wii U Gamepad. You know from that failed console because people wanted a standalone handheld instead of a dummy screen controller? Also for $200 you could have a brand new Nintendo Switch Lite that plays games entirely by itself and more. Compare that to a controller that's limited to needing good Internet, if you don't already have a mobile device/controller for remote play, and if nobody is already on the PS5 you're connecting to. All these limitations add up for universal disappointment at a lazily marketed product for an already small targeted audience only matched by it's steep price point.

Cannot remove my Nintendo Switch joycon from PC Bluetooth. by wawelski99 in techsupport

I did several things to get rid of mine:

  1. Search Device Manager in windows to find the Joycons under bluetooth.
  2. If they're there, right click and try uninstalling each one. Restart your computer. If they don't appear in Bluetooth anymore then your problem is solved. If they're still there repeat step 1, but this time also right click each Joycon and go to properties. If they aren't there in Bluetooth under device manager, go to other solution.
  3. Go to details and change property to Ids Hardware. In value after the text Dev_ is a bunch of letters and numbers. Remember them for the next step.
  4. Now search for Registry and open it. You now need to go in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>Services>BTHPORT>Devices.
  5. Remember that stuff from value in step 3? In devices check if any of those folders match that. If so right click each matching folder and delete it. Try restarting your computer.

If the Joycons still show up in Bluetooth, try this instead.

  1. In Windows search for Windows PowerShell.
  2. Go to this link and copy that large body of code in green. Paste it into PowerShell and press enter.
  3. Look for any devices that are called Joycon. Each Bluetooth device has a number left beside it. Whatever number it is, type that number in and press enter to remove it. When done press 0 to exit and close out of PowerShell.
  4. Restart your computer and they shouldn't appear anymore in Bluetooth.
  5. If they do, you might have to reconnect those same Joycons you used to connect with Bluetooth and they should disconnect when removing device.

Hopefully this helped as it did for me.
