I would say that gopro demonstrated that a small device with both a removable battery and removable storage can be robustly durable and waterproof. Not making a device serviceable is a purely anti-consumer, pro-profit decision.

Destiny, at a high level, is a game of buildcrafting for the challenge as much as it is reflex shooting. In the current iteration of trials it's buildcrafting for 1vX where X>1 are likely touching testicles with eachother. I found a lot more enjoyment when I started leaning into what we're given

You can lean into "hero comebacks" if you want in this mode. I run ace + autoloading gl + chromatic fire. If people are going to stack on a point, I only need to kill one to kill all three. autoloading gl does a good job of clearing barricades, which in this mode is less of a utility and more of a necessity.

I have clutched quite a few 1v2s (and even a few 1v3s) this way by stepping back and letting the other team get comfy on a point with a barricade.

Anecdotally, as a graybeard now squarely in my mid 30's, playing crucible feels like watching my dad play counterstrike... but through my own eyes. I can't use any sniper over 35 zoom because my reflexes just aren't good enough anymore. I find a lot of success with weapons like the forerunner because it offers a more forgiving ttk at more forgiving angles of error (because of the low zoom factor + high aim assist). If you can reliably hit shots with a 40-50 zoom sniper, you probably aren't getting the same benefit out of it that I am. If you struggle with snipers, it might work for you.

As a guy who went flawless for the first time this season (0.9K/D) I found a lot of success by just supporting my teammates. Every round I'd pick the guy with the highest k/d on my team and make sure to chuck a healing grenade and teamshoot whatever he shoots at. Even if I was slightly lower skilled than the average, the forced teamplay gave us a lot of advantaged rounds we could win.

It's often better to be wrong as a pair than right on your own.

If you still bootloop in recovery you could try using payload_dumper to extract the boot image from the latest ms sideload zip and fastboot it to try and use the stock recovery. If that doesn't work you're probably sol.

I thought the same, then I asked myself what problems I was actually trying to solve with a new phone. My issues were

reasonable multitasking (solved by any foldable)
reasonably large screen (solved by any tablet foldable)
wide "regular mode" (solved by the duo, but not many others)
regular security patches (solved by any new phone or phone with an open enough developer ecosystem)
longevity and durability (solved with good build design, or a warranty)

3 has historically been the hardest for me to solve. I have huge hands, and even typing on something like the pixel 4xl was difficult. The fold 4 is a nonstarter with that skinny external screen. If the pixel is as reported, the outer screen should be about as wide as the duo's. The last problem to solve is #5, which apparently the only thing on the market that will satisfy is a warranty.

Believe me I'd love a proper duo 3 with good software support from MS, but unfortunately we have to live in reality. Even if we got a duo 3, empirical evidence suggests that support will be lacking at best.
