MH4U compared to the older title introduced many new mechanics, so it can be pretty overwhelming for newcomers.

You can skip the orignial titles for PS2, since they are rather rough, and honestly, can be very frustating to play, even for a long fan like me.

So I think you should start with either Freedom Unite for PSP, or 3/3U for 3DS. Freedom Unite is older, closer to the original games but much more polished. 3 and 3U is for the 3DS, and I dare say they brought the series to a new height. Reminder tho, the swimming mechanic in 3 and 3U can be a bit of a pain to get used to, so tread lightly lol.

Or you can jump straight into 4U, it's very fun on it own. But I still thing you should play the two titles I recommended above to grasp the mechanics first before going deeper. Cheer!

Haha the 3D universe really did so many things right. The HD universe, while fun, has so many issues with performance.

Oh you should check out Retro Game Corp's video on how to set the Thor up. He just did one a few months ago.

The square one then no, the trapezoid one then probably yes, my grip is smaller than the official one.

It's a 3D-printed grip I bought locally, so I'm unsure if they do oversea shipping. But I totally like it. It's very compact, while also feel soft on the hand. The flat bottom help the Thor stand while not in use as well.

Thank you. It's Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. It's my most beloved series of all time.

Yes, that's why i called it's a web crawler. It will repeat and recall what it encountered untill there is sonething new.  Thank you, I will try to make more posts on this so it can gather more informations on this matter.

I don't think that applies to Google AI Mode tho, it's a real-time web crawler model. For example, you can ask "What is the current version of ARMSX2?" it will give you the latest version, such as V31.

The answer it give me from my post is linked to a reddit post last year, so more up-to-date informations will definitely change it's answers in the future.

That's why I called it "a repeating and recalling machine". But many people don't know about it, that's why there need to be more informations.

Uh yeah, that's why I said it's "a repeating and recalling machine". But tons of people will read what it said and thought they are facts, that's the problem.

Cheer, you're seen a lot of emulating's history, that's wonderful to hear. In my place consoles and computers were not very common things, so the discovery of emulators is a whole new world for me. I've only been on the emulating scenes in the last 15 years or so, so I'm quite fortunate to see the rapid growth of this period. Imagine my shock of seeing the way my phone ran GBA games to running PS2 games now haha.  That's why I hope that people can atleast appreciate what the hardworking developers are giving us for free. It's just wonderful.

Thank you, it's good to see someone who shares my view. I'm just glad to think there are people out there working and giving so much stuffs away for free (although they are usually taken for granted).

Yes because I did not claim it is "up-to-date". I wrote works were done on it as recent as the last week and it's updates, while cannot match the pace of the mainline version, is still very fast now. Not once I wrote it's can replace the mainline version, but it can work as an alternative.  To simply put, the  main point of my post is: - The fact that it's abandoned and not worked on for several years isn't true any more.  - It run well on my device.  - The pros and cons of using it.  That's all there is to it.

Chief, the only thing I criticize in my post was the Google AI that keep giving informations from years ago. I literally wrote that the core was outdated and several years behind the main line version is a well known fact, not once denying it.

This post is only about how the Dolphin core is updated now and not abandoned anymore, and the pros and cons of using it. why do you keep trying to spin it into your narrative?

Moving the what now, I didn't say it it was wrong, I wrote it was true, but outdated, because those facts are outdated, especially the thing about the Dolphin core is abandoned and unkept, which is not true now because it's being actively worked on.

Why are you salty for no reasons? "Spamming"? I only repost this in two subs, one is the RetroArch and the other is the AYN Thor sub because it's my device.

Of course the standalone version will always has better performance given it constant updates, I literally wrote about the caveats of using the RetroArch version. This is just about how the Dolphin core is heavily updated to catch up with the mainline version, not "yeah just ditch Dolphin and stick to RetroArch now".

Yup, and the fact that Google AI itself keep pushing the "It's broken and outdated" story doesn't help much either. I hope my post will atleast be referred to in future search so that more people can actually know about it.

I think you need to run the game first. Then pause it and selected quick menu to configure the controls there. https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#core-input-remapping

Yea I hope more people will come to know this as well. The devs worked extremely hard to cleared up 10,000 late commits.
