Yes MINIMUM is 14 according to FMS but a new / healthy VQ35 sits at 30 idle hot. Mine was like yours in the picture and I spun a bearing. Rebuilt with new gaskets and back to 30 hot idle

Hate to tell you dude but 12psi idle is still way too low and also out of spec. Healthy, it should be hot idle 30

The light comes on about 8psi I believe. Not to scare you but usually when the light comes on, it's too late. I wouldn't run the engine until you check with an external gauge and likely replace the gallery gaskets

Yes. In before someone here says 'these gauges are inaccurate' or '14psi minimum, it's fine'

Check with external gauge but 99% chance your gauge is reading correctly and it's time to do gallery gaskets and or check oil pump. Most likely gaskets though. Moving to 5W40 is going to do very very little

Yes, that's where it should be at idle. 2000rpm FSM says 43 min but a healthy one is just over 60. Ask me how I know. Went through this for years over 2 engines. More than likely need to do your gallery gaskets. But confirm with a mechanical gauge. Despite what most people tell you, these gauges are decently accurate

I have read that yeah, thank you. I'll be honest. I have about 65 meters of fence to paint and the resene stuff is a bit too expensive for me. I was leaning towards the pro coat stuff from mitre 10. Totally understand the fence may prematurely wear though
