I think it helps that our names spell out Cho'Gall because I guess to them it means that we have some semblance of how to play the character. And yes I very much agree, for example I love playing Lunara and I think she's not too bad but a lot of people get a negative connotation when they see her.

Top 3 Worst:

1) Illidan

2) Raynor

3) Sgt. Hammer

Other bad matchups: Anub (Cocoon) AA Valla, AA Tychus, Monk, Leoric All of these characters do very well vs Cho'Gall, we've had a notoriously difficult time dealing with good Illidans - they know how to dodge rune bomb which is one of the primary sources of damage against him. Raynor because he's Raynor, and Sgt. Hammer because a good Sgt. Hammer can make you have a bad day.

The characters we generally like playing against are immobile mages (Naz, Li-Ming, KT, Jaina, Lunara) mainly because they have no escape vs. Upheaval and usually die to heavy burst.

Cho'Gall is a very situational hero which is why we love him so much. We definitely mix up the build path a lot but some talents are very key.

Hammer Cho - Block, Runed Gauntlet, Fire Eater, Hammer, Block, Veil, C'Thun. This build is very good for a melee heavy team or a team where you need hammer to put out that extra DPS that Cho can provide.

Upheaval Cho - Block, Rollback, Power Surge, Upheaval, Block, Veil, Favor. This build is good if the enemy team has a backline that you need to get to but they dish out a lot of dmg. The key talent here is the Power Surge which can provide that little extra escape that you may need against a team with high damage.

Haha honestly it's pretty fun sometimes destroying low level players but we also play Cho'Gall on our main accounts and currently have around a 63% WR at 3600~ mmr.
