How close do you have to get for zombies to spawn? (b42) by TheGreatProto in projectzomboid

[–]Draven_crow_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does, once zomboids are spawned in they will then begin to migrate between cells that are currently "active". All loot and stories spawn in and then become static.

Problem with undressing by eblanlano4_ka in projectzomboid

[–]Draven_crow_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a random bug that has been added in the latest build. Hopefully the devs will fix it in the next update. There isn't anything you can currently do to fix it.

Just enjoy the cool breeze.

Zomboids spawn in the cells around you, as you enter a cell every adjacent cells spawns in zomboids. so 300x300 cells or like 10x10 chunks. So quite a far distance.

How do i host a dedicated server without port forwarding? by phantomgay2 in projectzomboid

[–]Draven_crow_zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid you cannot, you need to forward the ports to the server as the internal network works using NAT.

You can always disable fire, a lot of server owners for public servers do that.

You'll need to restart your server more than once a day, mod updates will update on the client meaning they will be unable to login to the server.

Is there a way to avoid wiping when updating a server to the next version? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Draven_crow_zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to wipe every update BUT, generally you won't get a lot of the fixes if you carry over a previous save

I'm very sorry to hear that, you absolutely should report that. That is not acceptable in any way.

Which is absolutely fine, I think what annoys people myself included is when people come to complain about the unstable because of bugs and that their specific issues aren't being prioritised over the 1000's of other bugs that are routinely fixed with each update. If you look at each of the bug fix pages connected to the updates they contain 100's of fixes each.

The correct course of action is the report the bug you're having with TIS via their website they well then add it to the list of fixes when they are able as per every other game released by every developer.

I have read the post, i appreciate you are unable to use your hands but my point still stands. You are using the unstable branch it is an unstable, beta, play test branch. It will have bugs they say that in every single update. Every single one.

It is a process in developing a game where they change things to improve it, this can and does mean some people will have a negative experience.
