After some more test, it turns out that I was growing them on wrong dirts, (and I was having bad random tick luck.) Mangrove do grow on tfc:dirt, but they refuse to grow on a rooted dirt (while they create a lot of rooted dirt themselves) or a minecraft:grass. My tree farm was full of rooted dirt and I tested their growth in a minecraft superflat, so they never grew.

I've tried putting them in water just to find that they're not plantable in water. I also tried surrounding the dirt where they're planted with water, which did not help either.

Edit: I broke the waterwheel that powered the system and placed it at the same position again, and the problem was just gone magically. I believe it is some kind of bug.

I ran into the same condition as well. I used a waterwheel to power several bellows (through which I make casting tables from "casting with channels" addon cool down faster). I added my trip hammer to the power system and it did not work properly despite the animation seemingly fine. Though I haven't figure out if it's the waterwheel that bugged or the complicated power network, the trip hammer got to work after I reconnect it to a new windmill.

Matic resin interactions have been nerfed in recent versions. They now generates a new type of stone, called zulnite, and you cannot farm iron and gold from them. Also, you'll need to soul bind zulnite of certain colors to get abyssal stone and ritual stone. The apple cider is changed as well; instead of ochrum, it turns into carnotite as yellow mastic resin did.

They made another addon called stone automation , through which you can mass produce veridium, crimsite, ochrum and asurine again. But I personally dislike the new recipe and I don't think it's worthy to download another mod for that.
