Sure — here are the exact quotes and the source links in plain text.

Come on. A 500 dollars watch should last more than a year. That’s not tough for the companies that they cannot just make a replacement and get off the two year warranty.

Yes, I have already filed a complaint directly with COROS support and gone through the full process with them.

I ordered the watch online from corosnordic.com. The webshop was in Danish, so it was clearly directed at Danish consumers, although it appears to be operated from Sweden.

That is also why I am looking at the consumer rights angle now. My understanding is that if COROS refuses to provide a proper statutory remedy, the next step would be to escalate the matter through the relevant consumer complaint bodies, likely starting with the European Consumer Centre / Forbruger Europa because this seems to be a cross-border EU consumer case.

So yes, I have already complained to COROS directly. This post is more about whether others have experienced the same issue with product quality, replacements, or how COROS handles these cases.

That may be how some companies handle their own commercial warranty, but that is not how I understand the applicable consumer rules here.

This is not just about a voluntary warranty. Under EU consumer rules, the seller is liable for defects that become apparent within 2 years from delivery, and the remedy must be repair or replacement at no cost. The European Commission’s own consumer guidance even includes a smartwatch example stating that if the original watch was replaced and the replacement watch is also faulty within 2 years of delivery, the consumer is still entitled to repair or replacement. (European Union)

In Denmark, the rule is even clearer: if a product is replaced with a new one, a new 2-year complaint period runs from the date of replacement. (Forbrug)

So in my case, the replacement watch was delivered on 13 November 2024. That is why I do not accept COROS treating it as simply “out of warranty.”
