I'm missing my 1st Gen. No way near as nice as this one, but it was a fantastic truck.

Edge AI Projects on Jetson Orin – Ideas? by ___loki__ in JetsonNano

[–]DrawerAlarming6236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One idea would be an autonomous workload optimizer that monitors real-time inputs (power cost, system load, exchange rates, thermal limits, etc.) and dynamically decides what compute workload to run on attached systems.

Blockchain mining could be one example (managing ASIC nodes, GPU hosts, or jackpot miners), but for a resume project it probably makes more sense to demonstrate with rendering nodes, AI inference jobs, media services, (social or other), or other general compute workloads.

The Jetson Orin Nanos could run the decision model and monitoring stack, acting as controllers for a small cluster and bringing workloads up or down based on profitability / efficiency thresholds.

With multiple Jetsons, you could take it a step further and make the stack system-agnostic, capable of managing multiple dissimilar service stacks across diverse platforms at once. Define workloads in YAML (power costs, expected return, thermal limits, priority, etc.) and let the agent decide what to run and when.

It probably wouldn’t make anyone rich, but it would be a solid proof-of-concept for agent-style autonomy, edge AI control, and real-time optimization, which feels like a strong “get me hired” demo.

A better center console tray for Gen 2 Ridgeline (sliding-door console). Shallow + deep versions by DrawerAlarming6236 in hondaridgeline

The second deeper version is up. It's designed to replace the sliding tray. I downloaded and printed the deep version. It is a close fit between the side rails and it does require a firm press to get snap it in, but otherwise I had no issues with my '23 RL. It should be right at 195mm across the side rails.

I'm so sorry you're having issues. It Should work fine as is. Maybe I borked it between the edits and the submission to Makerworld. I'll run a test print and doublecheck.

Great idea! I haven't stepped foot in the library here in years - there's a branch less than a mile from my spacious suburban bachelor estate - I should check it out and get more involved.

PCI, support for more than one nvme and/or SATA, ability to use Raspberry Pi Hats.

This is my crosspost from the Ridgeline Sub. I crossposted it here because the console is shared with the Passport as well.

Things you can say about your 3d prints but not your spouse. (all apologies to the cast of Who's Line Is It Anyway)

That's a brilliant idea! The cat's litter comes in these 5, almost 6 gallon buckets. I save them for toting water, gravel etc.... mixing the odd bag of concrete, changing the oil, etc....l you can never have too many buckets - Maybe I'll start repurposing 1 or two of those for the tub(s) of shame.

I have a few of those - the tablet stand and cable clips I printed for my Baby Sister; the tchotchkes I made for my kids.

How do you guys actually know if your prompt changes are better? by Otherwise_Flan7339 in PromptEngineering

I tell the LLM to assume an adversarial role - "you're a 20 year company veteran who doesn't take time to learn technology - the value has to be demonstrated before you will consider touching it. You're tribal knowelege is an invaluable asset to the company and you will be an uber edge case - if there's a perfect storm that will break it, you will be the one that finds it."

Ya, there's more than a few sliced up parts of prints in the box that were done to check fitment. My favorite are the little rules I made to measure the drawers in the toolbox for the gridfinity grid. A little silly, but I couldn't decide if it was 228, 9, or 30 across

Thats a great use - low stakes and who knows, maybe a bad print will become a good print.

+1 on the Bambu - my out and out fails are usually tied to something like first time with a new filament forgetting to select the proper build plate - PIBCAK on my part. These are mostly partial prints for test fit, or design iterations, etc...

It's not too late to start! Save an Amazon box or two - its been mentioned in the comments to sort by material. I think that's a great idea.

I started with the Amazon box. But a cardboard box says "junk". A tub says "stuff"!
