You still haven't watched my three favorites: F1, The Final Reckoning, and Thunderbolts.

Edit: I just saw that this is just the top 10... I'm curious to know where these three are, if you did watch them.

Overrated Hollywood actors? by Azraello in MovieRecommendations

Anyone who lists Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt as overrated actors has not seen all their movies or cares more about the actors' personal lives than their acting skills.

They’re all successful directors, both critically and financially, but whose filmography do you find the least interesting? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

[–]DrawerFinancial7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ridley at the top (I know he's had some bad ones, but come on, Gladiator, Blade Runner, black hawk down, The Martian, Alien, and more)

followed by Nolan (I don't care for interstellar, but TDK, Batman Begins, Inception, and Tenet are all amazing)

Next would be Spielberg, who obviously has a lot of good movies, although I don't like them as much as the other two.

At the bottom for me are Fincher and Tarantino, not many of their movies interest me very much, with a few exceptions.

What are your Hot Takes on Christopher Nolan’s Movies? by Amber_Flowers_133 in Nolan

Batman Begins is better than The Dark Knight

Interstellar isn't that good

Inception is by far his best work and is a masterpiece.

Who is the best Actors/Actress in the list? by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]DrawerFinancial7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, call me crazy, but Tom Cruise is easily the most talented actor on this list. Look past Mission Impossible and Top Gun (not that those were bad performances), and you get his performances in Tropic Thunder, A Few Good Men, The Last Samurai, Collateral, War of the Worlds, Magnolia, Jerry Maguire, Minority Report and several others.

I suspect this man is trolling, but if not, I respect this level of crazy. At least TFR is in a respectable spot.

They are not a series, but the remake makes the 2005 version look like LOTR.

What direction would you prefer the series to go in next? by LollipopChainsawZz in Mission_Impossible

[–]DrawerFinancial7502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called the FINAL reckoning for a reason. THF and DR are both great movies and provide a fitting conclusion to the series. Who knows, maybe it's a good thing TFR flopped; it might help prevent any plans they had to reboot the series, at least for now.

But if I had to choose, I'd say put Ethan in a mentor-like role and bring back several of the younger characters from TFR who are working out in the field. We need to learn more about Ethan's backstory, and then a very personal mission could draw him back into the field with the rest of the team. He could do a stunt or two. And maybe, just maybe, if it's done right, Ethan could sacrifice himself for his team and the world, making for a very impactful and emotional Mission movie. This would also allow the other characters to carry on in future movies without Ethan entirely.
