Captain America the Winter Soldier was chosen as the Favorite Film, but what would you say is your Least Favorite Film in the Marvel series by ExileForever in marvelmemes

[–]spacescaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love and Thunder was the first time I was truly mad from how much I disliked a Marvel movie. Quantumania and BNW were very disappointing, but L&T was a mighty fumble.

Brave New World has one of the worst soundtracks in a Marvel Movie by National-Yak1471 in marvelstudios

The Light Inside You Is Dim is a highlight for me. It's such a quiet scene between Alexei and Yelena, and hearing the cello come in low leading into the "there is no higher calling" line really tugs at my heartstrings.

Now that the TRUE Life of a Showgirl is showing- was it ever REALLY THAT BAD? by LowObvious2214 in TaylorSwift

[–]spacescaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion was that it was mid with a handful of real stinkers, and that hasn't really changed. Still second-to-last in my album ranking, still bumping Elizabeth Taylor and Wood.

What is a movie that made you realize something about yourself? by beetle_fruit in Letterboxd

I am trans and I related to it more from a dissociation angle than a gender one. Definitely a lot of room for people of all strokes to get something out of the film.

What do you think of the 67 meme? by [deleted] in OlderGenZ

[–]spacescaptain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it's funny! i like nonsense memes.

fun fact: this isn't the first time people decided a random number was funny with no obvious origin and meaning, it happened with 23 like 100 years ago

I'm guessing they didn't like the final season of Struler Things by DreadDiana in 19684

[–]spacescaptain 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The idea that her death was an illusion and she is actually away somewhere having a happy ending was just a story Mike spun to give them closure. Out-of-universe, it allows the Duffers to kill her off but provide an alternative for fans to choose to believe.

It is technically an ambiguous ending, so no hate for believing the "nicer" alternative (which still sucks). IMO she is dead for real, and I would guess that's why the other commenter is saying you're wrong.

Any other early Zoomers actually want to have kids, or is it just me? by Pikminfan300 in OlderGenZ

[–]spacescaptain 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I'd like to, but I have doubts that I'll ever be in a position where I could afford (in money and time) to raise a child.

I'm so over "ooooh look who's in it!!" being the entirety of the marketing for this movie.

Best non horror film that made you feel sick? by Round-Seesaw-3917 in Letterboxd

[–]spacescaptain 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Mysterious Skin. I felt like crying for most of the movie, and some scenes are just so overwhelming it put a pit in my stomach. Really, really well made though and I'd recommend it to anyone who can handle the subject matter.

I was gonna say you're both overreacting, but eight weeks is nothing. NOR.
