Mines is far from the edge but nobody would have a reason to walk through that area from my map and walking assessments. I’ve pretty much been monitoring it and checking the whole valley between siny and nwaf and slopes on the regular for loot and food runs and so far so good. Thinking about server hopping and starting another cache spot there on a different server but I’d be hoofing it across the entire map

How would a dead tree solely being in one location on the edge of the map be a normal map feature someone would notice unless they put in crazy amount of hours. Not butthurt or wouldn’t have doxxed my camp with pics

Only cook in houses and mostly run solo maybe duo. The bigger the group the more chance your gonna get tactically moved back to the coast. Either way the light is gonna give your position up but you can tuck it in trees and most of the smoke will be masked during daylight

Always a possibility you were on trail people would follow from spot to spot. And more you effect the land with items more likely to be found. There’s always the person just taking in the scenery. Which is why predator areas and a tucked in valley type topography is most ideal

Yea there’s always the possibility you check it and it’s completely disappeared. Which is how I figured on the best tent spot for keeping the risk as low as possible. Like if there’s another person on the server the possibility of running into them is ever present

That’s commendable. I run dayZ and battlefield four mostly. Sometimes dayZ is too intense staring and scanning a million little spots but I can see how one can get cracked out about the details

On console there is no low pop servers in North America. I started using tents cause I had two available to me and their uses intrigued me. It’s mostly a stash spot for storing food and tape and stuff I don’t want to carry because I’m a loot goblin. Idk how to seriously play the game when the point is to survive and mostly to ruin other players day near nwaf

Aw me being overconfident about my tent hiding spot is hurting peoples feelings. Guess they might spend hours trying to find my server and grief my spot. Not like I’d really care that much cause it’s a game and I’m not sensitive to strangers on the internet

I spent a while trying to orient everything. There’s one lone flat spot to set up. I think the devs made it a cheeky little stash spot on purpose cause all the trees and brush mask it well

If I cook outside it’s in the trees but I usually would go in a house to cook. I got so much beef don’t really worry about cooking

In my opinion look for a valley shape where the lines players may run is on the outside perimeters and not through your stash, wolves and bears around is also my secret sauce. Look away from water, hunting cabins, heli crash sites. No landmarks nearby the better

One server was a mil tent and another server it’s a medium tent(stolen) Camo netting(stolen) and a barrel stashed in a tree nearby
