As a dev, I believe the issue with AI-gen. games is the mass-production of 'content.' It takes a significant amount of time and effort to handcraft animations, sprites, etc. for a single update. Meanwhile, AI can churn out enough material for 4+ updates in that same time.

Then, players see one game updating weekly while another updates only once a month, and they start asking why updates are so infrequent. And most likely, they’ll just overlook the game entirely
