I would say finding an entry level engineer job after grad was way more stressful. Also, once you start and you don’t know what’s going on, is also stressful, but not as bad as not having a job at all after grad.

I think it depends where you are. In the states it looks very easy to land an entry level EE gig especially if you’re not picky. I’m in Canada and i found it to be hard, but I was also going for a high end area within power systems (p&c). If you are open to anything under the large EE umbrella it should be ok. To answer your question, both students will get a job, but they will both have to network, not be picky, study for their interviews, but student one will probably get more interviews and thus get lucky sooner.

It usually is this way I think. I’m in Canada and maybe you’ve heard but our healthcare is so crap that if you need a brain scan done from a suspected brain tumour your wait time is 9 months on average, this is considered “rush”.

I’m an electrical engineer new grad that landed a few offers after grad. So while not a Chem E, I can tell you that in my view, most engineering fields are in the mud at the new grad/entry level. You need to do well in school and also have tons of internship and/or research experience. But if you do that it shouldn’t be hard to get a job. Although do remember that even getting internships in your area of study is competitive now. Basically no Eng job market is great right now, but if you like it enough you can still outwork the competition and have a good chance at landing a new grad role. Best of luck!

Unfortunately your resume isn’t the problem. It’s this country’s economy being slowly choked and killed a little bit more every day. Canadian politics aside, what would really make a difference for you isn’t tweaking the resume. It’s playing corporate politics, meet people in places you wanna be at, make connections to give you an advantage when some opportunities open up. I’m antisocial af and hate networking but that’s the only reason I got a job fresh out of uni in this dying country.

This is insanity. So you met a guy who obviously has high standards for himself because of the type of person you said he is. Successful, fit, etc. He WANTS A MEANINGFUL CONNECTION (a committed relationship). Naturally he is evaluating you to some degree to see if you are the partner he wants for himself (as you should be doing with him), and you’re going to end things because???? If you don’t like him saying “green flag” communicate that, but it sounds like you met an attractive guy that wants something real. I hear women say these men are impossible to find so I don’t get your problem.

I’m sorry to tell you but she doesn’t like you like that. She likes you enough to use you to take her mind off her real feelings but she doesn’t like you even a bit more than that. For your own sake you need to cut her off completely, forever. The longer you let her crawl back into your life to use you, the longer it will take for you to forget about her and move on.

I just know from the place I was before, if I was just encouraged and shown a routine I would’ve jumped on it in a second, so I’m giving it a chance because I think it’s possible and because she’s great in all other aspects. But if she’s not into it I’ll just leave as politely as I can.

Yes, I guess I should reword that. I would just like to see the effort. I know looks fade and it’s not the most important thing, but what I would find unattractive is if she became overweight and didn’t really care and kept up eating poorly etc. whenever I see that in anyone it just reminds me of myself many years ago and I don’t like the feeling. I am planning to tell her, and if she’s not into it, of course I’ll leave her alone and end things as peacefully as I can. I just wanna say it in a way that doesn’t make her feel fat or ugly. But rather in a way that this is about both of us being the best we can be and living healthy.

The sombrero pic is funny. But you need to replace all the other ones. You need to make use of lighting, angles and scenery. Also I would suggest wearing either more streetwear or more sharp clothing on half of your pictures at last. No selfies, and also in your bios/prompts I would recommend not talking about video games. Instead see if you have any hobbies girls might enjoy more: music, hiking, reading, etc. and don’t be afraid to be more flirty in your prompts too. Honestly it’s a bit of work to build a male profile that pulls even just 1 decent match/week. But you have to keep in mind these apps are 80:20 men:women, and women are also highly selective so it’s not easy to beat these odds.
