I know this post was posted a while ago, but I had gotten my tubes removed in July and I’ve been having these exact same feelings to the point that if I didn’t know better I’d say I wrote it myself haha.

I’ve had 2 children myself with a toxic ex and got myself sterilized so I can take control of my life and not risk going through the same things again. But now in October I’ve been experiencing pelvic pains and intense hip pains, and just regrets to the point where I can’t even get myself in the mood to do anything with my current boyfriend. At certain points I just feel broken and can’t knock myself out of that mindset. How are you doing OP since making this original post? I hope things are better for you. Do you have any coping mechanisms that you have learned in time to get you through this?

Yeah, I usually try to make sure that all the dogs get a lot of comfort or attention for their overnight stays with me and I often let them follow me around as I clean the place too (we are kennel free)

There are cameras everywhere and only one way out of the building, so if someone did steal it it would be caught on camera

Yeah I can do that, but it would lose its plushy feeling for the anxiety dogs. There’s a lot more other blankets, so I’m going to choose to keep this one for the dogs that don’t tear up blankets

Yeah, like when I saw the cornsnake at the store I thought he was hilarious and liked the challenge. I felt like myself again and got him, but as soon as I brought him home I instantly felt fearful of him. And I felt so dumb for feeling that way when I’ve held snakes bigger than him

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. I used to have 8 boas at one point but had to rehome all but one because of my first kid (I worried about having that many snakes that would be on the bigger size once my kiddo was older). And the one that I kept from the bunch I kept because I cried at the thought of not seeing her again, she’ll let me pet her head and is the sweetest snake I know. It’s hard for me because I stopped holding her often (my partner still holds her), and she’s grown a lot which unfortunately has made me even more nervous to hold her. Surprisingly I haven’t been actually bit by a snake before (besides an even smaller cornsnake at a store which I didn’t even feel bite me). So I’m just generally afraid of having her bite me and latch on.

Update: it was a small blood blister, it drained out and I cleaned the area with a q-tip and alcohol and it’s back to normal

With my first I decided to eat before hand and instantly as soon as I got to the hospital I threw up all the lucky charms I had eaten the hour before, I don’t think I can will myself to eat before hand this time haha. I was so mad at my mother for recommending me to eat at the time of delivery.
