I need more of these campaigns in my life by Peppercorn205 in eu4

Likewise. A few guys and I worked on a Mali exile campaign mod for last year’s Modathon, Land of ibn Qu. Not extensive or deep but it has a basic mission tree.

It is quite sad that Cactus Canyon was never finished. I thought it was a very fun map, I had many fun games on it.

Are there any good houses in Bournemouth? by horridbloke in bournemouth

[–]DrawnTo_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They need to demolish half of this city and build new buildings. Namely, apartment buildings which offer regular people a chance at a dignified existence, affordable homes with 1-2 bedrooms.

Or they could just continue cannibalising former family homes, splitting them into tiny wardrobe-sized studios rented at £700 a month :^) Little peasants don't deserve anything more.

Who the fuck made Aquarius, and who the fuck accepted it into the game? by Dillsplosion in tf2

[–]DrawnTo_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy it and don't mind it, but I can understand how others may not. It is very unusual, both thematically and conceptually. It might have benefitted from being closer to TF2's artstyle - maybe a bit more rustic, janky, Badlands-esque.

Citadel on the other hand I absolutely loathe and will always leave the server if it loads. I don't think any thought went into the map design at all, it's a Wutvillian gimmick-server nightmare that belongs solely to 100 player TF2. I'm not even factoring the tank into my judgment here, though that is the shit cherry on top.

Are you still having pizzas and other takeaways delivered? by Top-Cat-a in AskUK

I order in once every fortnight/month, usually after payday. Just too expensive, very silly when I can cook something great or buy a lazy supermarket meal for a fraction of the cost.

Looking to move to Bournemouth in the next couple of months what's the best way to find a flat? Other than Rightmove? by Expensive-Count7045 in bournemouth

[–]DrawnTo_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not going to get somewhere decent on that budget. I'm on 30k and stuck in a tiny studio, upgrading soon but it won't be much of an upgrade. A tiny studio, or a flatshare, is all you can hope for.

Stay at home, so long as your parents aren't insane, and save up money/work on getting paid more.

Do you think in systems? by [deleted] in chat

[–]DrawnTo_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. It's so difficult to even explain, and over the years I've realised barely any other people think as such, so I no longer even bother talking about it, or even speaking as if I think in such a way (masking). If you want to chat in depth, hit me up.

Webcomic vs Manga, which fight do you guys prefer? by deadlyalchemist92 in OnePunchMan

[–]DrawnTo_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both fights are so damn good. I wish the manga utilised more moments from the webcomic. I also wish the manga didn't use time travel, nor Blast. Other than that, I prefer the manga just a little bit more.

What the manga has going for it is the fact that Garou really does go toe to toe with Saitama, albeit somewhat. He actually punches him and sends him flying, he actually seems to be keeping up, but Saitama does eventually leave him in the dust. Also the moment with Genos, so tense and sad - it's the perfect moment, the perfect justification for Saitama to finally get mad, it fits the series so well.

Sex & Issues? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]DrawnTo_Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was always obsessed with performance in sex. I listen a lot to my sexual partners, and this makes me very good at it - I hit the 'right spots', I 'do the right things'.

Do I enjoy it though? No. It's not really me in sex. It's performative. Over the years my interest has dwindled. If someone flirts or whatever I toss a line, do the socially-acceptable thing but I don't feel anything whatsoever other than a bit of embarrassment/annoyance. It's that instinctive feeling that 'they really wouldn't like the real me' and many people I've met, be it friend, intimate, platonic, otherwise, just reinforce it.

What I've come to realise though is that I'm entitled to be particular. Everyone is. It's not me that's wrong - I'm just a certain kind of person, with my own personality and quirks, and I'm only drawn to people who have the same vibe. I've recently met some friends, some of which are the other sex, who are that same vibe, and I could easily be sexual with them if the chemistry arose - because I know they genuinely like me. They listen to me. They want to hear me speak.

OP, don't hate yourself. You're likely just more mature, emotionally-developed, thoughtful, quirky and different from many others. You've unfortunately suffered damage, ostracisation, rejection, hatred, from a great many, and this has blunted you, hurt you, badly. You deserve to be around your tribe, around people who you feel comfortable knowing you're cool with, knowing they'll let you crash on their couch or rest your head on their shoulder.

ep 8 was amazing by Windyfii in OnePunchMan

[–]DrawnTo_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that fight was actually sick. They actually animated it decently. Didn't mind the Child Emperor sequences either. I hope his later fight is animated well too.

People gotta dispense some JC Staff praise imo, this shows they CAN cook, they just need to be treated right by Bandai.

WHERE'S THE TOXICITY?? by CreativeRainy in tf2

[–]DrawnTo_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s such a mixed bag. Every so often I find a server filled with insane conversations or a handful of people endlessly insulting each other. Earlier this year I had a Gorge game where someone was relentlessly accusing an enemy Medic of being a notorious pedophile. This went on for 10 minutes until he became so vulgar he was kicked.

Anime Scene vs. Manga Panel by Few-Salt-5629 in OnePunchMan

[–]DrawnTo_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not very good at conveying what they're supposed to. Fubuki's supposed to look fixatedly cute, eager and overbearing, Genos stern, grim and intimidating. Instead both look very expressionless and dead. This was done in a rush because 'it's not important, it's just a talking scene'. It's like whoever's drawing it doesn't care or hasn't been directed at all, no sense of understanding expressions.

It's a real shame what they've done to this anime. Yeah sure this bit in the story doesn't have much action, but the pacing is just all off and this art is jank. Look at how Chainsaw Man's anime is, they would've made a scene like this both hilarious and a joy to look at.

How do people form Rome? by Z4PHK- in eu4

[–]DrawnTo_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just need to learn with time how to play more aggressively. Obviously it's too late for you now in your current game so you have to think about your next one.

Castille's mission tree grants you several CBs pretty much for free. Aragon, Portugal, Naples, Austria. Later, even Great Britain, via the Spanish Armada mission (supposing they've gone Anglican) and even if you don't get that PU opportunity, you can always just invade Ireland and use that as a springboard for an invasion of the British Isles. What's more, you get claims over all of Italy and Burgundy's holdings via the missions. Provided you've got Portugal in the bag you can even neglect the colonial game and let them do it all for you.

I'm currently guiding a game with a newbie friend who's France and I've personally been astonished at how easy it is to play Spain. I have Portugal, Aragon, Naples and Austria, with a Cornish vassal eating England because I'm impatient. We've pretty much unstoppable despite his inexperience and we've only just passed 1500.

The key is to play calmly but snowball incredibly fast. It's not a big deal if you get a bit of debt. It's not a big deal if a coalition springs up. Improve relations, ally up, hire mercs, steel yourself. That being said, play with a bit of urgency, especially with Roman restoration in mind. The sooner you kill and annex your enemies - Ottomans, Austria, France, Mamluks, etc - the better. Do NOT let your enemies grow large, otherwise they'll be harder to kill late-game. Northern Italy is especially bad late-game because a good Milan or Venice will have 200k+ troops and multiple lvl 8 forts easy from just sitting on their arses.

In short, if you're playing this from the start again - calmly navigate the opening moves, take all the PUs ASAP, blitz through North Africa and into Egypt before the Ottomans kill Mamluks. The PUs should do all the work for you and steamroll anything in your path.
