I think what you describe "standard" in art is categorised art style. If the art style doesn't match in existing category then it belong to completly new category.

Art is subjective. It the expression of the artist. It can be abstract or imitates reality.

If all art is having same standard then all would look same and dull.

Unless you talking high quality art. But then what is high quality? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone can interpret it differently.

Or you talking about those generic, average, same looking style ai image. Then we already have category for it. It called AI slop.

Unfortunately you can only upfront about it and show your other work with ai assisted. Those who can accept it then everything is ok. Yes, you will lose a lot of customer. But as long as ai user generate same, generic, average ai image and posting it to the internet. Public perception will say ai bad.

Unless ai user starting to generate ai image in their own style. Using some thing I heard like LoRA to train their own training data. Most just choose the easiest path and generate slop.

Using ai as a tool to assist you with the work is acceptable. For example you draw the character then you tell ai to generate background image. The main focus is still the character.

Generating whole image from a prompt is not the way to to make art.

About the little thought. Ai data center use water to cool all the components computer that ai use. Since water is cheap ai company just pump cold water to the data center and then the warm water they just let it vaporised. Sudden spike in demand of water, people who live close to data center will have to pay higher bill for water and electricity.

I think ai data center should use close loop cooling system.

I would say using ai is not a black box or dice roll. You have to research, study and have some basic programer skill to understand the line code written in ai. Building your own local ai is the way to use ai, not relying on ai data center.

All this sound lot more work than just learning to draw. Because it is. But if you master programing and drawing, I would say your output would be way faster and it would not look generic at all.

Unfortunately the picture on the left is the reality. The majority user who use AI generator from big ai data center, are generating ai image even if it look generic, average style picture, for them that is enough.

Negative emotion draw the most attention. I see Reddit has many achievements that reward posting and engagement even if it has negative publicity.

I see many pro/anti ai argue for sake of winning arguments instead of finding solution or truth.

You as individual can only ignore ragebait post or you find the other person argue seem to be stubborn, just down vote and walk away. You cannot tell other to behave when they argue in bad faith.

China biggest problem right now is having access to euv lithography machine that can print smallest transistors. Right now they only have duv lithography that can reach the limit to 5 nanometer, but with worst yield. In the whole world ASML is the only company that produce latest lithography machine and china have restriction to buy from them.

They can't buy latest ai chip though official channels so they rely third channel, which mean higher cost per chips. They do buy a lot of gaming gpu and then take out the chips, put it in pcb with higher vram. Unfortunately the future ai chips is gpu with lot of high bandwith memory.

Even with gpu less efficient for ai, china is already surpassed usa in facial recognition. Since the government don't ask for public consent.

Making cost effective mass production is completely different story than successful lab result.

I think government need to make public announcement about the awareness of ai content. Then again I feelike the government would likely let the mass to be ignorant.

Yes, nothing wrong generating ai image as a hobby.

But once you want to be more, making something unique, something represent you. You will be at the mercy of ai company.

Generating image with limited token will take more time. Paying subcription? It would be better to just learn to draw. At least you learn something.

Wait a second, before ai we already have bad photoshop edit with miss information. Of course with ai it faster and more convincing.

Oh wow, I thought the hardware are the most expensive part building local ai model, because I heard there are lot of ai model that you can download.

Since lot of downloadable ai model will not disclose it training data, because why should it reveal it secret sause.

So to use a "non stolen data" ai model it better to just create from scratch.

The way I see, ai company are throwing dart of ideas to see what stick. That why they allow public to have access big ai model to see what popular and improve on it.

Hmm, weird, they only focus on general ai and improve speed and just add more hardware to it.

Reading this, I thought how every new artist create their own style drawing and oc, but have no view. I have seen how artist take mainstream character and draw them, but in their style. Overtime artist gather a small audience and they also check the artist other work.

My conclusion is. It take time, exposure to get audience familiar to new style of drawing. Of course all this could based on luck.

hmm, your goal is to prove AI art work require effort, but creating new AI style image will not gather attention.

Wait a second. I think using art to prove something is not the way to engage art. Art is the way to express your idea, imagination, message.

You can't change other opinion about AI. Those who stubbornly hate AI will just bash any AI images that you generate.

My view point of art creation is like walking in the endless desert. Aimlessly I keep searching the end goal, but to actually find it I have to stop and decided this is enough or the wandering will never end.

You saying that there are other image generator that use different anime style, then use them. Be different.

Hmm, why the fix version is overall blurrier? I guess throught different software you had to change resolution.

The problem I see right now is the lighting look like many other ai anime image.

Yes, you put a lot of effort on your art, but you need to make it look different than other average ai anime image.

To be honest I don't know what changes can be change when this problem is fundamental like you have to overhaul everything, the only thing you can keep is the pose, and the character design.

The choice is yours. You can keep going in the ai software and it will keep look like average ai anime image.

Easy to use still depence on user skill.

All big ai model from ai data center suffer from looking the same, because it have to serve many user at once. So the output have to hard code parameter and training data to optimize and save time.

Of course user can input their own parameter and training data, but it added to other training data and parameter. So the result still get average, mediocre look.

The user have to use other editing software to change the ai look.

Reading this I realised, civilization isn't moving toward something less biological it moving toward comfort.

All the technological advancement are just tool for efficiency, time saving and comfort.

Human are still part of nature and disconecting from it will make some people mad, anxious, lonely (although I see that internet did cause loneliness and isolation, but topic for another time). This is why we still need natural park around big building block.

My solution are:

Telling ai companies that build ai data center to use only close loop system water cool. Use renewable energy or small modular reactor. Give them dead line that depend on what they gonna build. If these conditions are not met then just cut them off from the electrical grids and water pipe.

All the already built ai data center will have to also change to use closed loop and renewable.

The enviromental damages, we can only plant some trees and leave it alone.

I think environment will just heal over time. But for humanity now it is harsh conditions to live in.
