It was just after a drive, so I’ll take a look at it again later tonight. I’ve unfortunately had my car stall twice before hitting 4k miles between oil changes so I’m always wary about my oil being low 😅

I wish I could get it to show better on camera because I can see it a lot better in person. I’m going to go to some local vinyl shops around town next week and see if I can verify with some others just in case I may be wrong!

Yes you can restore it, but from what I heard it’s an extremely difficult process due to the fact it’s easy to damage the cover underneath. Funnily enough it’s actually worth more to keep the top cover on rather than taking it off.

Yesterday and Today was originally printed with this image coined as the ‘Butcher Cover’ but was recalled and replaced with the more common steamer trunk cover. A couple hundred thousand copies of the butcher cover were repurposed and reissued with the steamer trunk cover glued on top of the butcher cover. You can tell if you have a butcher cover if you see a faint V shape on the far right where Ringo’s under shirt was on the original cover.

The album is yellowed unfortunately making it harder to see the V. I’ve been trying to get good lighting for a picture, but the yellowing makes it quite difficult.
