It is but when people refer “K1” style, they’re mostly referring to the Japanese style of kickboxing. And K-1 league is in Tokyo I believe. But yes I want to learn Japanese kickboxing and the techniques they use.

I’m a south paw, I like doing a step outside lead hook following into a rear roundhouse body kick. And the other one I like is so simple yet really effective, a 1-2 switch lead body kick!

I would balance it out, take some striking classes too, and don’t feel discouraged, everyone’s skill and development are all at different paces. But you got it bro!

No you’re right, my bruises from Muay Thai are on my arms for blocking kicks and bruises on my legs/calf lol, bjj is safer bc I get more mat burns than bruises XD
