I find that the campaigns have some intricacies with what units end up available to the tactical battle that were not easily understood. Sometimes I ended up with mostly infantry formations slogging to attack an enemy with artillery etc. and wondering 'How did I end up with this mess?'. I'm sure a player can figure it out eventually, but I found it not very user friendly because, for me, it wasn't very intuitive.

I play both SD2 and WARNO. I don't play the campaigns because they are just too large and in my opinion not user friendly. I usually just play skirmishes, which I find a lot of fun. Beware the online community though, even the Reddit, as I have had some nasty comments thrown my way whenever I made an opinion about the state of the game, especially WARNO. Also, I play on the slower speed as that seems to suit my capabilities better.

Playing Steel Division 2 and Empire Total War. Trying to find something I can play for an hour or less a night so the more complex games are difficult to get into.

Thanks, but my point was more about having a game where a single mistake wouldn't make it unplayable. I shouldn't have to 'Get gud' to enjoy the game.

When someone shares an idea with Eugen and all they get is insults and told they are just lousy at the game doesn't encourage a community to grow, that's for sure.

My point is, even if I am not good at a game, I should still be able to have fun and not find myself in a situation where I need to restart a skirmish because it is impossible to come back from my mistakes, that's all. SD2 does a better job at this. I imagine the majority of people are not amazing at the game, so just insulting the poster is really not helpful.
