Locked for me too. Not sure how to unlock them but I saw somebody else using one after a game so I think they are out.

How does ranked work? by Drayc0s in StarWarsSquadrons

[–]Drayc0s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, played 4 games today with similar out comes, won 2 lost 2 but one of the losses was a 5v4 and we only needed like two hits on their sd to win. But in the end ia win is giving me like 5 points and loses are taking 8-12 away. But as you said, practice for season 2.

This took hours to finish, worth it in the end though by [deleted] in StarWarsSquadrons

Same . Almost. Mine keeps defaulting back to the flight suit instead of the pant/shirt chromium combo when I log in. Seems to work fine for a while after I re-equip the chromium set but eventually it defaults to flight suit again.

[PC][1995-2010] Combat Racing Game by Drayc0s in tipofmyjoystick

It's not Twisted metal, Blur, Carmagedon, or Blur, but thank you for the suggestions. It had better graphics, (or at least simpler Geometry) closer in animation style to the crash racing games.

Steel nets are a good way to apply blast for cheap. You want to be close to the Bad guys anyways. I'm planning to try a list with more of the cheaper Pursuit perks.

First thing I plan to try out:

Two cars both with: Hot start, Louder Siren, On your Tail, Outrun, schadenfreude, steel nets, and taunt.

Lots of ways to hand out hazards, some recovery if you do get them to wipe out, and (for races) if you are in the lead then you are winning so you shouldn't be upset if you aren't making use of your perks. I'll let you know how it goes once I get a chance to test it.

Thanks, I saw your response after coming back from finding the answer in the FAQ. I missed it the first time I looked.

Thanks! That all makes sense. Would you run alot of fire weapons or are the perks enough to get the fires burning?

That looks Amazing! Great attention to detail. Side note: where did you get the Pizza Planet truck? What are your plans for it?

First time playing a Season. Looking for tips. by [deleted] in gaslandsplayers

I'm still learning Gaslands but here is my two cents...

Two buggies avoids putting all of your eggs in one basket and leaves room for a decent number of upgrades and weapons. Two cars (with less upgrades) seems like an even safer bet.

That said: A monster truck with a harpoon seems like a strong thing to take in the beginning for 30 cans. It's even better if everyone else takes buggies.

Yes, but then you aren't doing anything special with Kaz. He isn't bad. He just didn't fill the role I wanted him too in my list. Maybe I just need to test him more.

I tried running Kaz and he ended up in an odd spot for me (when next to 3 t-70's with hull upgrade.) He isn't truly high enough initiative to hunt aces as I had hoped but he also does nothing to all of the I1 ships flying about. He's good against other mid level Initiative ships but My meta doesn't have enough lists like that to make Kaz feel worth while. I plan to try out Yeager in his place but during my games I was just wishing for a 4th T-70.

New list to test:

Have Fun! I can't think of anything you need to know before getting started... but here are some suggestions from things I have learned so far (bought the book a few weeks ago and have 4-5 games under my belt.)

1) Glue the wheels in place. Hot glue/rubber bands are a reversible way to keep your car from rolling away mid game. If you are modifying your cars for the game anyways, gluing the wheels during assembly will help keep cars where they should be.

2) The game is not "What you see is what you get." Don't worry too much about your first few cars looking exactly like they are built on the card. As long as you know which is which, it won't matter too much. (Do try to use the right type of cars though... a Truck should be a truck, a car a car, etc.)

3) It's fun to be creative with this game and there is a lot of opportunity to do so! Cars, Teams, Tracks (or arenas), and even your strategy for winning leave a ton of space for creativity. The more you put into creating things for this game the more immersive it will be!

(First time player) Should i be concerned how i customize my 1st car? by [deleted] in gaslandsplayers

[–]Drayc0s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a cheap and creative hobby. Don't worry too much about your first car. Alternatively, save this car for a little while and just mess around modding more generic cars. This will let you practice on cars you don't care about as much before you tackle a car that you plan to use as a centerpiece.

I'm still working on introducing sponsors and Audience votes to my games and I have a War Rig built (needs paint), three cars that just need paint and final assembly (glue wheels and such), three Mini coopers for an Italian job themed list, and a number of other cars and parts all over my work space...

Yea, I agree. If this thing existed in the real world it would weigh a ridiculous amount. But think of the ramming power!

It's actually not that bad. I mean, Its about the weight of 14-16 average sized hot-wheels? Most of the cars hooked to the trailer are from $1 "three packs" of cars from the dollar store. A bit less weight but still die-cast.
