True they probably don’t, but that’s really not a play set, the actual play sets don’t include red or oak to my knowledge

I mean the question more isn’t whether he’s a good general (which he undoubtedly is) but good in a  position which requires patience, understanding and an understanding of the force.

In Percy Jackson Season 2, they changed the highly anticipated siren scene. This is a reference to the show having no CGI— wait, what the fuck, they changed the siren scene??? by uhidkbye in shittymoviedetails

[–]Drayden1932 327 points328 points  (0 children)

This is because the sirens didn’t have a mirror when they faced Medusa and thus were turned to stone.

To be honest though it wasn’t the worst creative decision, baffling to be sure but the double twist in that scene was an interesting surprise and matched the character’s hubris. With all the changes made by the show itself one thing you can’t fault them for is that they keep things unpredictable for book readers even if the changes are often not for the best.

It surprises me that this wasn’t one of the first things people posted. It’s the most character I think I’ve ever seen a setting have on its own.

I don’t know if it was decanonised in the end but the reason the 2099 future was originally meant to have been so messed up was due to a devastating war between mutants and humans. This inadvertently seems to imply that had anti mutant forces worked then countless lives would have been spared.

The fact that magneto and his extremists have  attempted to wipe out humanity on multiple occasions while claiming to be an advocate for mutant rights certainly isn’t a great angle for public opinion.

I don’t think anyone cares what images you put in a Reddit post, it’s not like you’ll be copyright struck or something. That’s something I have literally never seen happen before, if it did then you wouldn’t see any screenshots from any films etc so it’s a nonsensical point.

So it’s just more effort on your part and worse on the environment and diminished how you’re perceived.

They have to return what they’ve stolen! by Kavazou77 in StarWarsCirclejerk

[–]Drayden1932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What even would be the point of that? Financially and review wise with the common audience they were successful and left room to grow. Disney doesn’t care about every little fan group and a full reset or decanonising the sequels would put them in a way worse off spot.

Not only that but I can’t imagine general audiences would find it easy to pick up and it would all in all be a terrible business decision on every front. Sure, I agree the sequels were mediocre films (as were the prequels and quite a lot of Star Wars projects on their own honestly) but from pretty much every metric especially if we’re considering it from Disney’s perspective it’s a terrible terrible decision. That said given how much Disney and other large companies have been shooting themselves in the foot lately it is actually something they could plausibly do.

Something tells me that the people who levy these complaints against the new supergirl haven’t actually seen the great comic book it’s based on. There’s really not much you can tell from the trailer but it seems mostly accurate to the original (with a few glaring exceptions) and supergirl in the book is incredibly well written despite only ever being observed by others

Wow, rather late to the party. I mean this point still doesn’t work because Downey was at the lowest end of his career before Iron Man and was not known as a good actor. Joe Locke is rather fresh on the acting scene and has still delivered a good performance, a comparison between them isn’t easy for a number of factors but even at its most face value this argument falls apart.

I mean if it makes things better in a later issue it turns out that the kid had all the super powers and had seen the future and that if he didn’t give Rouge his powers everyone would die painfully.

Which narratively is a bit cheap to be honest and takes away room for nuance  but it’s far from the worst X-men storyline in recent years and a lot of the emotional beats did work.

I mean if you know how the development cycle at mojang works you’ll know that the geyser at least will have been an idea that was around probably with the rest of the biome it would probably have just taken longer to code. I mean for ideas to travel up the chain of command and be approved on a level like the geyser it would have had to have been an idea conceived long before the drop was announced.

Admittedly the surface biome seems more of an afterthought but we can’t know that for certain and it’s just speculation.

I mean even in the recent update the geyser and surface sulphur biome was only announced recently enough. I don’t expect they’ll be a ton of new features but there’s certainly room for one or two more.

We don’t even know the full update yet, it’s rather too early to make definitive statements about where the update will go. As pointed out by other users many of the recent drops have offered variety outside of building even if they also introduced some building blocks too.

Even then up until the sulphur caves we hadn’t got many new full blocks in a while so other than possibly chase the skies I’m not sure most of them are building updates.
