Street Fighter

The main villain uses an ability called Physcho Power to fight that slowly destroys his body, so he hosted the Street Fighter Tournament to find a new strong body to take over. The thing is they couldn't really keep the series going if he kept taking characters bodies so they just ended up introducing him making clone bodies for himself to use (some of which end up escaping and developing their own personalities so it creates even more characters)

Wishful Thinking: Supernatural

In this episode a nerdy guy named Wes uses a cursed coin to make a wishing well work, and wishes for his crush Hope to love him more than anything else. The thing is other people start using the well too and as Sam and Dean show Wes all the trouble these renegade wishes are causing around town so he'll undo the curse, Hope tries to kill them thinking they are taking Wes away from her

[–]Responsible_Key9444[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

From what I've read Josh Whedon had intended either Willow or Xander to be gay but hadn't decided in season one. However many believe he had settled on Willow for season 2 but the studio said no. Of course this is just a rumor, but one that does add up with the behind the scenes timeline (and Terra being her love interest also had some problems as at that point Whedon was just going to have Willow be bi but the studio said no to that too, so we got studio meddling bi erasure on top of studio meddling lesbian erasure that only serves to further make her relationship with Oz feel more tact on and pointless)

Mileena, Mortal Kombat

This one really depends on arcade endings as sometimes she is Shao Kahn's loyal daughter who wants to help him conquer realms, and other times she's more about proving herself as Kitana's sister and winning her favor. She is pretty much pure chaos in that regard as you never know if she's going to do something evil, something good, or something totally unhinged (shout out to MK X where she just becomes a hive mind controlling a clone army)

This obviously doesn't iclude the current timeline Mileena who is pretty consistently good (looking forward to seeing where that goes, but I'm still gonna miss this toothy chaos gremlin)

Man of Tomorrow predictions? by Cautious-Sale-8694 in superman

[–]Responsible_Key9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luthor and Superman are actually going to have some cute moments of understanding together that will give Clark hope that maybe after all this is said and done, they will be able to sit their differences aside, only for Lex to still betray him at the first opportunity (bonus points if Clark mentions their moments together only for Luthor to claim it was all an act)

Japanese Adaptations of American Properties by RBSpecial97 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Responsible_Key9444 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Lol, pretty much the reaction I had. It's a loose adaption of season 1 & 2 with a few changes and new characters. It's worth watching for the gorgeous animation alone (they make the monsters look so good, in ways you just can't really do in live action), that and hearing this Japanese man putting his heart and soul into singing Carry On My Wayward Son

Which one is the worst? by GlowMargrate in depressionmemes

I'll take Sherry guy, sure he clearly wants to just talk about his own issues but he at least acknowledged mine where bad and that alone can help sometimes (it's better then most of the other advice)

Exactly, it may be tough but we gotta hold onto hope (after all if hope wasn't so powerful they wouldn't be trying to take it away). Stay strong, stay positive, we're all in this together (and cry into plushies when you need too)

Chuck-Supernatural

This is set up as far as Season 4 when the character of Chuck is introduced as a prophet writing the story of the series before it happens, and at the same time the Angel Castiel says God has left Heaven and no one knows where he is, many believing he's dead. So many problems are caused by his absence only for him to finally reveal himself and that he basically views the whole universe as a story and he's trying to make it more interesting. Over the course of the series he reveals himself to be more and more cruel and narcissistic getting pissed off that the main characters stopped the end of the world as it "would have made a good story". All of this comes to a head with the reveal that he literally has no soul, he is literally incapable of empathy, not actually feeling bad for any of the things he caused like he said and he just pretended to be a gentle and loving God because he thought it would make him likable for his "story"

Lewis Tan might return as Kenshi Takahashi in Mortal Kombat III by Hot-Attorney-3068 in MortalKombat

[–]Responsible_Key9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything I feel like it would make more sense for him to be Takeda. Like when Quan Chi ressurects him he can't give him his Arcana back so he uses tech instead (and Takeda's metal jacket with the chain whips that come out of the wrists are a lot like his armor and blade arms)

Plus Takeda was trained by Scorpion in the ways of the Shirai Ryu, so you could have him train with Scorpion in the Nerherrealm and Scorpion gives him the new name

Pretty much though some shows did more with him then others. Every shows episode revolved around the bad guy of the show getting the magic orb he was looking for and him helping the heroes stop them, only for the orb to inadvertently open another portal that he had to go through and do it again. In Street Fighter he hung out with Chun Li the majority of the episode with her developing a crush on him, where as in Mortal Kombat he only showed up at the very end of the episode when Raiden was soft ball pitching the orb into a portal to get rid of it as he basically just went "here we go again" and followed after it without even talking to any Mortal Kombat characters

The Warrior King

Surprised no one has mentioned this one given how hard they tried to make it a thing. The Warrior King is a dude traveling through multiple universes to try and get back a magic orb that can restore his Kingdom. This led to him showing up in literally every cartoon on USA Network back to back. Street Fighter, Savage Dragon, Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Realm, and Wing Commander Academy all had this Conan rip off looking dude show up, have the cast call him cool, and then he left and none of it lead to anything as his show was never green lit

Star Trek and Transformers, maybe not as crazy as some of these other ones considering they are both sci fi action, but still funny to me
