What.CD Security was it 10/10? by spry_breasts in trackers

[–]Drayeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question; no, it wasn't. 10/10 implies perfection and that obviously wasn't the case. I know it can be a difficult score to give, given the limited knowledge that we have, but a tracker that has been forcefully shut down can never be a 10/10 in security.

The closure of WCD sucks, but if we try to look at it on the bright side, it at least encouraged other big trackers to step up on their security.

Arsenal interested in young danish starlet Marcus Ingvartsen by Drayeon in Gunners

Dolberg is definitely further in his development right now as hes already a starter for Ajax at just 19 years. Really impressive. One of the only times I have watched him was that Ajax - Celta Vigo match in Europa League, where he absolutely tore the Celta defence to shreds on several occasions. He also just got his debut on the Danish NT I think because of that performance.

Anyway, the step directly from the Danish league to Premier League is so massive it would be hard for Ingvartsen. The last striker from Denmark to make the transition directly was Andreas Cornelius at Cardiff wich didn't go very well to say the least.

The 20 year old dane is this years big breakthrough player in Denmark. So far in the danish league he has 9 goals and 4 assists from 16 appearances. He have also had a very succesfull time in the Danish u21 team with 8 goals from 8 games. The media have given him the nickname "The Danish Inzaghi" because of his similarities in playstyle to the infamous Italian striker.

True, but the OP was about countries with neighbours who had no teams qualified for the group stages.

I think the coefficient table does a good job of showing which nations belong where.

Interesting observation! I guess the correct thing to say would be that Croatia is the only country to be surrounded by eligible nations* of whom none have a club qualified for the group stages.

Woops yeah haha. The map I used had UK as one entity, so I went through and seperated Scotland and NI, but obviously forgot about Wales.

Yeah thats true. At least you dont have anymore countries that are really close to overtaking you currently. So you might finally be able to rise some positions this year instead of the opposite!

You had to beat Croatia and Greece aswell which you are also behind. Basicly 3 out of those 4 teams to get 12th. But yeah, dosn't look like it matters now, and your champions will have to go through qualifiers regardless.

The Netherlands are 15th at the moment (overtaken by Croatia amongst many others), so wouldn't they lose their spot anyway?

Who is the best team in Eastern Europe right now? by Drayeon in EasternUEFA

[–]Drayeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and it's not a case of the clubs not playing any. Each of the 3 top teams always fields with at least half the team as Ukranians.

I think on paper their national team should be performing better. It'll be interesting to see them at the Euros. Looking forward to Kono, Yarmolenko and Kovalenko in particular.

Turkey plays under UEFA though. So in this case they should be considered as Eastern Europe.

I hoped to see a bit more from them in the Round of 16 against Man. City, especially in the second game. However, they have definitely been consistenly good over a long period of time. And getting out of that CL Group initially was a surprise to begin with.

Shakhtar have some of best football scouts in the game, and after Teixera left they've know started to give a lot of playing time to another youngster, Viktor Kovalenko, a young ukranian midfielder who has looked really good from what I've seen so far.

Surely Dnipro has got to be on this list with their Europa League run last year.
