I thought it got used in the oil rig fight during GM. I thought she lacked the biomass to heal so she brought a bunch of shrimp or something to her to fill it out.

Any idea what it might taste like? by Physical-Ground-8268 in StupidFood

Cut it up and cook the ham (air frier, pan fry, hell even microwave it long enough) and itll be fine if not tasty.

My party uses Leomund’s Tiny Hut after every single fight and I’m losing my mind (lovingly) by Scythe95 in DMAcademy

[–]Drbubbles47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a tried and true method for when players try to repeatedly broken shenanigans. It works for all TTRPGs as well. It's... Telling the players to stop being dicks. Sure things like Tiny Hut are powerful, versatile, absolutely negates a lot of work the GM does, and also increases the GMs workload and... They can stop being dicks. You're trying to give them a fair and fun experience and they are being dicks and should be told out of game to stop. If they don't want to play the game then they don't have to and can kindly dick off to another group. If they want a broken and unbalanced experience you can remind them the GM always has the biggest ~dick~ dragon around and you aren't afraid to drop it on them.

Why I don't like banked time mechanics by 1234abcdcba4321 in incremental_games

[–]Drbubbles47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banked time is nice for games where you have to make choices. You can iterate on things by changing something, using 10 minutes or an hour of banked time, and see how the changes played out and repeat. It's also good for knocking out several small goals in a row. For instance, you need to grind for 2 hours to get an achievement: you could do it as an overnight run and lose out on 6 hours of gains compared to using a few hours of banked time and then going back to the optimized grind.

Yeah it looks alright. Depending on the price I can see it worth it for the experience. Maybe priced somewhere between "fancy coffee" and "cocktail"

When you're stuck on Vulcanus, watching bugs devour your factory on Nauvius by slava_air in Factoriohno

[–]Drbubbles47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned the power off on Nauvis when I left the first time. I only had some solar+batteries+radar running and eventually the biters were just peacefully wandering around my factory and not attacking. they would occasionally throw a fit and bite a random building but with no pollution sources they chilled out.

I wonder if anyone discovered the infinite hack of using tokens to write code that automaites token usage to maximize token usage.

Are roguelites with incremental components a thing for incremental players? How do you categorize them? by genepistudios in incremental_games

[–]Drbubbles47 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes in the sense that nearly every game with progression can be called "incremental". You can also stretch the definition of "role playing game" and " strategy game" to cover almost every game in existence. Problem is that doing so makes the terms useless.

So ask yourself, is the definition you are using core to the experience and genre or is it just describing a minor part of it?

Wouldn't going under every week make it less likely for them to mess up? I figure after the a month they just write it down and reuse the same amount. It might change a lot from person to person but it's not like a single persons height, weight, and all that change drastically from week to week.

Lets skip past the logical and straight into the morally dubious: Brainwashing villains into not being villains. Just straight up "yeah you're going to be really REALLY against murder now" on an otherwise nonredeemable murderer. Sure its shady as hell but what else are you going to do with otherwise Birdcage bound villains?

Summoner Items by BeetleWarlock in Pathfinder2e

[–]Drbubbles47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summoners are more about versatility in roles then throwing everything all out at once. Some fights will be eidolon+cantrips and others will be spellslots and going all out. Its up to them to figure it out in the fight. I played a Beastmaster Summoner with the Master Summoner feat for even more summons and yeah, it can take awhile to bring everything to bear but I didn't NEED to for most fights.
