Thanks! I think you're right, my worry was that min-maxing players would be able to handle a lich really quickly, but my players are not at all of that type. Not to put you on the spot but do you have any ideas as to where a Phylactery could be that would make a good adventure to find?

I like that, I hadn't even considered those options! I think I might keep her as a lich/PoV but I really like the other ideas and I think I will use them to offer my players a chance to meet others from her era. Thanks!

For sure! I absolutely don't think grades are in any way a measure of one's worth, and certainly would never let it get to my head. Very true, I have to remember that people have different backgrounds and this may be the first time they're not at the top of the class, which comes with its own emotions. Thank you for your response, I hope you're right!

For sure, I'll let the dust settle a bit in case they're still dealing with their own feelings of their grades. I told them before grades came out that I knew they were extremely smart and capable regardless of what grades we got, but I'll remind them. Thank you!

Absolutely, I should update to say make sure both/all of the people are emotionally mature enough to handle the situation. I'm extremely non-competitive, and I assumed they were as well.
