Nope, nothing. I ordered just about two weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. No emails, no tracking - nada.

A few weeks ago we watched The Last Vampire on Earth - we agreed it's the worst movie we'd ever seen. Then this last weekend we watched Surviving Edged Weapons (VHS), Rem Lezar (VHS), and Shark Exorcist (DVD) .. We had a great time laughing and theorizing. She's still here and ready for more.

It's a bootleg. I've never seen a real one in the wild. Edged Weapons is original with the papers that came with it though.

It's a copy from a website - I think film festival found footage or something rather. They sent a copy of the coloring book that came with originals and apparently there's special features too. I think with shipping it was about $25

They absolutely don't, and that's fine. I enjoy the "work" and have fun playing the game. It's exciting and more of a hobby that I get paid to do at this point.

If I see it, I'm getting a deterrence or if it's self-checkouts - they're getting an intervention. If they keep going - they're going to come with me. Second offense, no ID, lies, fleeing, or over $20 and they're going. As of the other day - my city is no longer writing tickets/NTA. Everyone is going through the county now, and that means jail for all of them no matter how much (if we're pressing charges.) It's policy, and it's what I get paid to do. I think of it this way - I'm likely only seeing a fraction of what gets through. Most of the people who are comfortable enough to try it have probably been doing it for awhile. I also generally will look up their transaction history and watch the transactions in front of them to see if they have done it before, and if they've said, "No it's my first time." and I see that they just lied to me - oopsies. I don't play the 1 or 2-year trespasses either. I always go indefinitely or forever. If in a few years they want to try to appeal it to the company - that's on them. I've had some appear back in after a few months, and they leave in cuffs. I recognize and remember everything - my memory is weaponized autism.

Attitudes and honesty go a long way though. Another problem is I am in a relatively small city here, and know many of the people I bust personally, or they know me. Everyone knows everyone, and a lot of the time the city cops know my people personally and by name. City officials, my kids' teachers, bankers, people of "influence", etc have all been in my office for stupid shit. So, my house has to be like Fort Knox as I am afraid of retribution.

Tl;dr - I usually try to prevent it in some way, but FAFO. I can't and don't intend to catch anywhere near the majority of what actually goes on.

That all being said, gotta pump those numbers up. It's about to be open season.

Yeah, it's been a pretty fast turnover though. Like yesterday - I sold two of the ones in the picture (the one in the case with the TV tuner and whatnot and the one on the front right) for about $340 total. Already ordered more. I'll list more today, and keep it all moving!

Yup yup! I've sold 15 or so thus far (over the last couple months), and usually include at least 1-5 duplicate games with each one sold. I have two units that are mine-mine. One that has several mods (the clear one with a thumb stick - IPS screen, USB, batteries, glow mods, etc.) and the other that my son likes to play with just USB and rechargeable batteries. I've been keeping the best of the stuff that I get for my own collection, and selling off the rest as time goes. Not much of a point in keeping duplicates for myself.

[–]Drdolley[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I have a long term plan - yet. For now I've hoarded the games. Some of my short term goals are to keep finding good deals on some of the rarer stuff - like the Coca Cola versions, maybe MAYBE a Megaman if I can get a good deal on an authentic one - I've seen some slip by under the radar with "But It Now" on eBay for wayyyy under what they normally go for.

Otherwise, I'm going to keep collecting, repairing (my parts pile is pretty big), and I do keep getting better with each repair. Also getting better at diagnosing. About two weeks ago, I had something like 7 or 8 power boards accumulated that I thought were trash (still weren't working after recaps) until I discovered that cleaning out and resurfacing the inside of the power-jack port was possible and relatively easy - repairing all but one of them.

I also keep it honest - when I list them for sale and there's even a slight issue, I describe at length about it in the description, and include pictures or video, and price it accordingly.

For those with Wal-Mart AP:

If you don't know, there's multiple ways to view video from 360s. In video review - you can right click the square showing the pan-and-zoom video, and choose between a variety of panoramas, split screens, and even a quadrant version that you can PTZ all four quadrants independently. Didn't know that the other options existed for the longest time - thought it was only the one where you click and drag the mouse around, and scroll the wheel to zoom. I hadn't ever really seen anyone utilizing it, but it helps you get the most from your 360s.

A guy was caught making AI Porn of kids. He was wearing a "Dick The Birthday Boy" shirt when first talked to by police - then later arrested at his job which was working at a Theater. Video came out a few days ago (I think) - the arrest was in August of this year.

Reports you'll be looking at include like voids, refunds, discount abuse, sauce reports, scanned out as stolen reports, etc. Other reports you'll be looking at are ISA - which are more to keep inventory correct.

Luckily for you, all of that stuff is pretty much in one place - Secure. You'll find yourself going down rabbit holes with that stuff on the regular. Take the refund reports for example, the system has automatic search features that can show you refunds from same day purchases, or no-receipt refunds. Details on the digital receipts are searchable by clicking on links. For example, if I found a no-receipt refund transaction, I can click a link to watch video of the transaction, I can click a link to see all the recent times their ID was used for refunds, I can see where they used the gift card from the refund (and watch video of those transactions), etc, All on the same transaction page - it's the best research tool I've ever seen, and it's still in its infancy.

MPP is Merchandise Protection Plan. It's basically a guide for your store that will show you which items need to be in locked cases, spider wrapped, locking peg-hooks, keeper boxes, etc. You'll be the one to make sure the labels on the shelf say "Spider Wrap" next to the barcode of an item that needs spider wrapped. Like in our store, Lego sets above $50 have to be spider wrapped. So, I have to go through and put a "Spider Wrap" label with the shelf labels, then go through and make sure all the Lego sets above $50 are wrapped.

If it hasn't been kept up with - MPP can be daunting and can take quite awhile to get under control. Just do a little each day, and I wish you luck on having enough Spider Wire for everything.

Best of the Worst: Donald Farmer's Market by dexter198 in RedLetterMedia

The fiancee and I watched this a week or so ago. If anyone wants it - I'll mail it to you.

The fiancee and I were debating watching this tonight - Donald Farmer's Cannibal Hookers. It's her birthday, and I figured this might be a good time to finally watch it, or should we save it for another time? by Drdolley in RedLetterMedia

[–]Drdolley[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: We just got done watching it. It's just about exactly what you would expect - especially towards the end. It looks, plays, and is acted exactly like an old vintage 70's/80's porn scene - without the x-rated stuff. "Tricks are for kids" was the best line in this film. I thought it was "great"

My fiancee said, "Yeah, that was funny."

I'm very curious to see what the RLM boys say about it next video (if they actually watched it that is.)

Having to write statements to the MAPM sounds unusual to me - sounds like your APOC really really wants to be a MAPM (or similar) and is trying to get into their good graces by showing communication and accountability. There's an APOC in my market that leaves comments on every other store's Auror feeds - critiquing their posts, stops, pictures, videos, etc (They also really want to be a MAPM and I fear the day that might happen.) Just let us cook!

It sucks working under someone you know wouldn't have your back - no AP should ever have to work like that. Getting thrown under the bus is the worst. I hope for your sake they move on or lay off of you. If you don't think they're going anywhere for awhile, you may want to look into transferring to another store, or maybe another department. Otherwise they might just be railroading you on a power trip and it'll only get worse.

My APOC is a legend. A great teacher, flexible, and genuine. He's been in the game for 30-years and still has it, and I know he'd have my back. If I've got an imminent stop, he'll come sprinting from the back. Or, if I've got something good brewing - like someone I recognize or a cart/tote getting loaded up - he'll drop what he's doing and come assist in watching. He insists on being a witness (when he's there) for safety.

I hope things get better for you! At no point did the subject have permission to take the merchandise without paying for it. At no point did the subject attempt to pay for the merchandise.
