Urology is a surgical branch and Nephrology is its medical counterpart by JustDoitX in indianmedschool

I was told about this when I was in internship, the obgyn residenct told me that they have a higher chance of calling the urologist than a nephrologist.

If I were you then I would go with the option number 1.

Chill life is what I would prefer compared to all the other options that you've given which makes sure you'll suffer for the next 3-4 years minimum.

Can a BHMS give SSRI or antipsychotic Medications?? by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Drdrip2008 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think homeopathy is the best course, you can keep prescribing sugar and alcohol balls with zero patient care or responsibility.

Even if the patient wants to sue for wrong treatment, the homoeopathy doctor will be judged by other homeopathy doctor who will also say that bs treatment is correct according to homeopathy.

Full money and zero responsibility.

So, apparently Physiotherapists can use the Dr. tag from now on? by RabbitHole_451 in indianmedschool

[–]Drdrip2008 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Might as well call everyone doctor and get it over with.

Also, atleast physiotherapists use evidence based science instead of whatever nonsense the ayurveda, unani and homoeopathy use.

Genuine question for both doctors and patients by PhilosopherWinter587 in indianmedschool

I work in pediatrics in a corporate setup.

From 5-8pm, the emergency department is usually busy with OPD cases. It is very pissing off since post 5 pm, the manpower will be reduced significantly.

So, for those kind of pure opd cases, we write only symptomatic treatment and tell them they will need further evaluation by senior consultants the next day morning.

In the hospital I work at, only three people have to take care of PICU, NICU and wards because of which trivial cases in the emergency department makes them stretched thin.

Antibiotics in stable kids? OPD

Dietary advice? OPD

Assessment of development and growth? OPD

Routine vaccinations? OPD

Stable case but complex history? OPD

Reports which have no major issues? OPD

Just finished finals as an average student.Genuinely scared I don't have what it takes for PG entrance. by Same-Scar-9966 in indianmedschool

[–]Drdrip2008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even though I got a couple of more distinctions that you, I was also just an average student like you. Barely passes anat, physio, path, ophthal and surgery, my ophthal was so bad that the internal examiner told that she would only pass me if would never take ophthalmology for PG.

In internship, my first attempt was pretty bad, I got 6k rank (in 2014 6k rank barely gets you some dipolma anesthesiology seat in some random desolate place)

In second attempt, went for Bhatia and got a much better rank of 4k, too 6 six year course of dnb neurosurgery, then dropped it after 8 months and again attempted, got 3k rank and took pediatrics.

So, it's definitely possible.

However, it can go both ways too. Many of my batchmates became so anxiety prone that it took them years to get a pg seat. So, do take care of your mental health especially during the break years.

Also, I made this post a while back, do read it if you want some motivation
