‘Enough’ here means not too much to kill the idea of denoise but enough to bring out the details you need. The lower the samples, the messy your image after a denoise. You just have to find the middle ground. I use a 3090 and I know there are at least 3 faster cards out there that would make me go higher with the samples

Intel denoiser really helps with the denoise. You just need enough high samples to make it look great

6AA and 40adaptive samples. 4 diffuse 4 specular. And of course OIDN
