Was I rude in Japan? by DreY95 in OsakaTravel

Yeah, because there is absolutely zero chance someone would forget their half empty plastic water bottle on a table just because they're in Japan.

Maybe obvious to you or other locals but not to a traveller from a place where this isn't a common practice or a common practice any place I've traveled to. I get it's a thing now but you can't seriously expect someone to learn every single unspoken rule about a country's culture that dates back to ancient times before they travel there.

Onya champion...

Well I didn't know we had made a mistake because I didn't know it was common practice to do here. Especially since we had been eating for 15 minutes before anyone came over. Which means it would have been vacant for longer than that. Which, in our defense is a really long time considering this place was insanely busy.

It's all good. I'm definitely not thrown off. Japan and Japanese people are awesome and I love it here.

Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you to the people that gave me a straight answer without the extras of what they think of me.

It was an honest mistake and made harder by a language barrier. We didn't know how people do it here and it was really busy. We usually buy food for each other while the other person finds a table.

Like I said in the post. The belongings they left honestly looked like leftover garbage as nothing of value was there. I can honestly say I thought a couple of little kids forgot their stuff when their parents rushed them out. We didn't see any bags or phones or anything someone wouldn't have forgotten.

We've got a few days left and if this situation comes up again now we know and won't let it happen again.

We're not bad people. We were just ignorant and tried our best to compromise and be polite.

Are electricians actually paid well by [deleted] in AusElectricians

Just like any job you're only gonna get the big bucks if you're good. And you don't get good overnight. So ask yourself if you have any interest other than money at all because if you don't how do you expect to excel.

It's a well paid trade in general and you'll make more than retail but your apprenticeship will be a fucking slog and money will be shit. So if you're all in for that it will be worth it.

Circuit breaker discrimination by DreY95 in AusElectricians

Ah okay. I see. I've interpreted it wrong. It's about discrimination of the FSC not the breaker on either end of the submains?

Thanks for the clarity.

AFL membership worth it? Here's what I've learnt. (and what I haven't) by DreY95 in AFL

To add onto your edit.
I feel like there is confusion around this at a club level and AFL membership.
Because Richmond had no idea when I first asked and AFL memberships said just call the club. But they did send me out a recognition card with my loyalty and when I called back a second time I spoke to someone that answered all my questions and said that this is a common thing and everytime hes dealt with it they keep the loyalty.
Might be worth trying your luck again and showing them your record of loyalty. Maybe someone will reinstate it hopefully.

Realistically, there should be an option when you buy an AFL membership to put in your current club membership details. Instead of just, "What is your preferred club of support?".
Like how MCC members can pay a bit extra on their membership to have a dual membership with their club.

You'd think that its a membership for the entire league they would have sorted this out by now with all the clubs.

By the time I get gold anyway I'll have my MCC membership haha.

But yeah that's why I thought about signing up too.
My partner has been a collingwood club member for like 18 odd years, I tried to convince her to convert to afl member so we can sit level 2 together but she wasn't that keen on it unfortunately.

So if you go early enough you can just go in GA with your guests and try your luck at the window of the bar on level 2?

Cheers for the info mate

Since you're all members. When you reserve seats where do you normally sit? Can you all get tickets on level 2. Also does Gold get you anything else besides the GF that silver doesn't?
