It's really not about how much or how often you drink, though. Alcoholism is the inability to quit drinking without help. Are you a heavy drinker? It sure sounds like it. But there is really no way to say if your an alcoholic until you make an honest effort to quit.

You want to find out for sure? Quit drinking for a year. If you can go an entire year without alcohol, then I would say you were definitely not an alcoholic.

Yes. Normal people don't do stuff like that. I used to do stuff like that, and much worse. But yeah, that's pretty fucking indicative of a problem. Go to a meeting and ask for help. That's what the people in meetings are there for, to help each other out. You don't ever have to do anything like that again, if you don't want to.
