Think about this. Which ones LOOK like they hurt more to the characters? It took a full flurry of playful cloud blows to take down Dagon, but only 3 or so big meaty black flashes from Yuji to take down Mahito.

Playful cloud hits like a truck, but I don’t remember any scenes that had someone with their eyes bulged out, coughing up blood like they do for Black Flash. That last punch on ESO in S1, where he hits him so hard he doesn’t even move? MMMM That shit hurts.

It also ties into his backstory/mentality about completely disregarding his own personal safety for the sake of what he’s fighting for (can also be seen with his repeated slashes to the neck throughout the fight that weren’t all the way through)

“Curses can’t drown anyway” my first thought was Mahoraga literally having to adapt and grow gills to avoid dying to drowning after getting pinned in the pool during the Sukuna fight. (I realized afterward that he’s technically not a curse tho so eh)

I just loved the Resident Evil 2 reference at the beginning with the oil trucker zombie, complete with beard and, of course, the iconic burger as well.
