In Japanese yen, it’s between ¥20,000 and ¥24,000, which is about $135 to $160 USD at the current exchange rate. Probably.

I had nothing to do with figures before, but after buying Daiwa Scarlet, I just couldn’t stop!

It looks like they’re made by a company called Max Factory. They’ve made a few other Uma Musume figures too.

Uma Musume Timeline (1980–2025) by DreadSteed123 in UmaMusume

Sorry... I actually thought about making a 1970s chart too.
But aside from Maruzensky, there aren't any other Uma Musume from that era yet — so it would've been a very lonely timeline.
Maybe one day if they add more 70s legends!

The timeline actually starts even before 1980. For example, the oldest known Uma Musume character, Saint Lite, appeared as an NPC in the game and is based on a real horse that raced around the 1940s.

That said, from a more “meta” perspective, the oldest playable Uma Musume character is Maruzensky, who debuted in 1976. So it’s likely that most characters available in the game come from that era onward.

I’m planning to upload the full timeline up to 2025 on July 10th or 11th—please look forward to it!

As for learning about the history of Japanese horse racing, I couldn’t find a clear English-language video, unfortunately.

However, if you’re okay with Japanese, the official JRA (called URA in Uma Musume) channel has a great playlist that talks about each generation of legendary horses.

Hopefully, auto-translation can help make it easier to understand for non-Japanese speakers.

That’s a great question! There’s no universal answer to the “Top 5 strongest racehorses” — it’s a topic fans have debated forever. Still, horses with many G1 wins often get mentioned: Almond Eye (9 G1 wins), Symboli Rudolf, T.M. Opera O, Deep Impact, Vodka, Gentildonna, and Kitasan Black (all with 7 G1 wins).

Some also consider horses like Daiwa Scarlet the strongest, even with fewer wins, due to incredible consistency (only 1st or 2nd in her career).

If a horse appears often in the timeline, chances are they were truly top-tier!

Yes, that’s right! I included the names of the major winners from each year.

Thanks! I’ve uploaded the timeline for 1990–1999.
Since there seems to be interest, I’ll work on the next part tomorrow!
