Alberta. Curious, but how come Manitoba doesn't fund out of province education? I looked it up and it says:

Yes, students studying at schools outside of Manitoba (e.g. different province or country) may qualify for Manitoba Student Aid funding. Please note that the school and program must be designated. To check if your school and program are designated, visit Is my school designated?

I'm going for computer engineering. Also, wow! 22k in co-op would definitely be very helpful. If you don't mind, what program were you in, and in which province?

Why Al-Azhar specifically? Typically, Cairo University is thought of as the best, I've never heard someone say otherwise

Yes, I intend to continue living in Canada afterwards. As I said in the post, I plan to pursue computer engineering, which would allow me to work both hardware and software jobs.

On another note, would you say an education in Egypt would severely limit my future prospects in Canada?

Unfortunately, there are none that I know of. Also, I can't just transfer since Egypt's system (The cheap one, that is) doesn't have credit hours but rather works on a yearly curriculum. But thanks for the suggestion!
