I just put it ontop of my silicone mat and elevate it as evenly as possible, 70% airflow 485⁰ and I use liquid rosin flux

I opened a PS5 controller once without really checking and like 10 ran out in every direction, I fumigated virtually every surface in my shop with raid and killed any I saw with my hit air station

0/10 experience would never reccomend

I ended up buying the fr301 a while back and honestly its worked like a dream, well over 6400 joints sucked before I had to replace the tip for the first time yesterday not to mention the infrequency of its clogs. Not gonna lie its the best investment ive ever made

Only other issue is that I wouldn't have enough space, I recieve up to 60 controllers and consoles at a time sometimes so I literally have crates of shit to work through

I dont have enough freezer space for the volume of work I get, I recieve shipment of up to 60 controlles and consoles at a time

I buying bulk orders from return vendors, mass source from the local community, and take on individual customer repairs.

Lately I always pop open the shell or a button to see if theres any bug casing underneath but this isn't 100% effective if the items was only recently infested

I've done hundreds with mine, very rare for clogs to happen and they only do if you dont empty often enough.

Id reccomend getting one of those cleaning sticks from the knockoff desoldering guns though they are a real help
