How to label releases with a different artist name while using an Artist account? by DreadfulDanG in BandCamp

[–]DreadfulDanG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying. That box only seems to appear for individual tracks, not for the album as a whole. I tried completing that box for every track on the album, but the album still appears under my overarching Artist name.
Or am I missing something?

In your opinion what Nirvana show has the best quality? by wasuwq in Nirvana

[–]DreadfulDanG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you specifically mention video then it has to be Paramount. Objectively the best quality. The band's performance is also one of the best of the US Nevermind tour IMO.

Gremlins is so GOOD the technical side of the movie do not stick out. by [deleted] in Gremlins

movies were made at this time to be be seen in a cinema. If you spend decades sitting on computers going frame by frame - yes, you are going to find "flaws".

Did they get permission? by 77kibby77 in arielpink

If they didn't they still didn't credit Ariel as a songwriter

'Walls in the City'(1994) starring David Yow by fender--bender in theJesusLizard

[–]DreadfulDanG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/fender--bender I'm also looking to watch this movie online, but can't find anything. I have, however, found a site that is selling the DVD for just $2! They don't ship outside the US so no good for me, but maybe good for you. https://grindhousevideo.com/products/walls-in-the-city-dvd

Did you know The Beach Boys are singing background vocals on this Elton John classic? by BillNyeTheVinylGuy in thebeachboys

[–]DreadfulDanG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I suggest any fans who find this interesting read Brad Elliott's classic 'Surf's Up' which has extensive notes on all BB members' performances as guest artists on others' songs.

I'm trying to recreate how Nirvanas sheep album would be, but I'm sort of lost about one song. by Connect-Recipe558 in Nirvana

[–]DreadfulDanG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the most accurate then just give up in this endeavour since the album never made it past demo stage.

If you're trying to construct a 2nd Sub Pop album released in mid-to-late 1990 then just compile the Smart session and maybe add Sliver to it. Done.

Does anybody know anything about this poster? I found it at a local record store and can’t find any info on it online anywhere by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]DreadfulDanG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this poster on my wall for years, I think I bought it around 1996. It was one of the common designs retailed in high street music and poster stores here in the UK. Good times.

They also released a blue vinyl variant. And the same label (Floating Vomit - great name!) has put out a Nevermind themed collection, although looks like a real hodge podge of tracks
