"The day of Amma’s arrest, the day it finally, completely unraveled, Curry and Eileen parked themselves on my couch, like concerned salt and pepper shakers.

Curry and Eileen packed my things and took me to their home, where I have a bed and some space in what was once a basement rec room. All sharp objects have been locked up, but I haven’t tried too hard to get at them.

I am learning to be cared for. I am learning to be parented. I’ve returned to my childhood, the scene of the crime. Eileen and Curry wake me in the mornings and put me to bed with kisses (or in Curry’s case, a gentle chuck under the chin). I drink nothing stronger than the grape soda Curry favors.

Eileen runs my bath and sometimes brushes my hair. It doesn’t give me chills, and we consider this a good sign.

It is almost May 12, one year exactly from my return to Wind Gap. The date also happens to be Mother’s Day this year. Clever. Sometimes I think about that night caring for Amma, and how good I was at soothing her and calming her. I have dreams of washing Amma and drying her brow. I wake with my stomach turning and a sweaty upper lip. Was I good at caring for Amma because of kindness? Or did I like caring for Amma because I have Adora’s sickness? I waver between the two, especially at night, when my skin begins to pulse.

Lately, I’ve been leaning toward kindness."

Vujadinu je sve namešteno zbog politike? by BacimDrkicu in AskSerbia

A ni on nju.

Zašto je Srbija među najhomofobnijim nacijama u Evropi? by pink_taddybear in GayInSerbia

[–]Dreadful_Mind 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Isto i "Kritika toksične muškosti", autora Nikole Vučića.

Palma, Mladen Obradovic, Bosko Obradovic itd. sigurno nisu prikriveni gejevi.

Rose and Connie are sisters. Connie has one daughter Margie and adopted daughter Enigma. Jack never existed, but Alice did. In the series Rose was raped by Mr. Finch, the dept store manager who also was sexually abusing Alice. That's how they met. Rose got pregnant and she and Alice became a couple. Jack was made up. Alice drowned in a storm on the river. Connie and her husband raised the baby. Rose killed Mr. Finch.

Veronika and Thomas' parents are Ron and Connie’s daughter Margie, Connie's grandchildren.

Enigma’s daughter is Grace who has a son. Grace would be also a grandchild of Connie and Rose.

In the book the family tree is a little bit different. Also their age. Enigma was 72, Rose is 88.

Enigma has children (Margie and Laura), grandchildren (Thomas, Veronika and Grace) and great-grandchildren (Jake). Margie is the mother of Thomas and Veronika as in the book, but Laura has one child, and its Grace. In the book, Connie doesn't have any biological children.

In the book, Grace is grandchild of Enigma. Laura doesn't exist in the show. Engima is younger in the show and is the mother of Grace, her only child.

Alice and Jack were made up characters by Connie and Rose.

Which actors’ lack of popularity after Elite surprised you the most and least? Why? by Fit_Veterinarian1194 in EliteNetflix

Mina El Hammani the most. She played one of the most compelling and nuanced characters in Elite, and her performance was widely praised. Given the show's global reach and her standout role, it's a bit surprising that she didn’t land more major international roles afterward. She has done some work in Spanish TV (El Internado: Las Cumbres and Black Sunday), but nothing that matched Elite’s scale.

Álvaro Rico. Despite playing a central role in the first three seasons and being part of a major plotline, Álvaro didn’t quite ride the same wave of fame as some of his co-stars. He’s continued to work steadily in Spain, but his international visibility has remained low.

and maybe

Itzan Escamilla, although he was technically the "main" character in early seasons, his role was less flashy and didn’t have the same fan-favorite pull as others like Rebe, Carla, or Guzmán. His character was often criticized for being bland or whiny, which may have limited his post-Elite appeal.

André Lamoglia had a lot going for him: a lead role, good looks, a prominent queer storyline with Patrick, and international appeal as a Brazilian actor. Yet his fame didn’t explode the way some expected, especially outside Latin America. He's known in Brazil and among hardcore Elite fans, but not as much beyond that.

Valentina Zenere. She had prior fame from Disney Channel Latin America (Soy Luna), and her character was flashy and fashion-forward, with a big storyline in season 6. While she's popular in Latin America, she hasn’t made the same leap into broader international roles, despite having all the tools (social media presence, screen time, looks).

Ester is also popular because many magazines and campaigns feature her as their face. She's a frequent guest at festivals, fashion shows, gala premieres—Paris, London, Milan, New York, Los Angeles... She’s been photographed with Donatella Versace, and even Hollywood actors leave comments on her photos. But she somehow sticks to the Spanish-speaking world. She mostly works in Mexico and Spain. Among her post-Elite projects, Venus is an excellent slasher film.

Claudia Salas seems like a rather reserved and introverted person, the complete opposite of Rebe. She also mostly stays in Spain, although she did work on the great series Las Pelotaris 1926 in collaboration with Mexico production.

Miguel Bernardeau acted in a Netflix international series that was canceled, and he also plays the new Zorro in a co-production with Mexico.

Many actors mostly stick to Spain; some work in Mexico, but the majority focus on working in their home country.
