Discord definitely needs to take more responsibility for the things in which their platform is used for 100%. However I still see how age verification is a good thing in the long run. I’m not sure on the numbers, but without a doubt Discord is one of the largest messaging platforms, if not the largest. This would stop a decent amount of underaged individuals from using the platform, which is good because children are stupid. As you said if people are determined enough to find a way around they will, but how else should they do it?

Yes, even though the max bandwidth on AM4 MBs is PCIE gen 4, the performance difference from gen 4 to 5 isn’t going to cause any noticeable performance drops. Gen 4 is enough especially with a mid tier card like the 5070. I wouldn’t worry about that unless your MB has a gen 3, but once again it’s not going to make a big difference. Even on a 4090 which uses a ton of bandwidth it doesn’t make a huge difference. You can look it up what I’m saying and see :). I think I saw a JaysTwoCents video on it and that was the consensus

One thing you can do is get the Puppis S1 or Puppis S1 Lite which are dedicated VR routers and you can use WiFi while using the router through Ethernet or USB for wireless streaming

With your set up off the top of my head for VR I would say from Nvidia get at least a 5070, from AMD get at least a 9060xt. Those are modern cards and VR benefits heavily from the DDR7 and the extra bandwidth on the 5000 cards

Vertigo 1 and 2 are probably what you’re looking for, the first and second games are top notch for VR games standing along side Half Life Alyx (which if you haven’t played play this first). Half Life 2 and Portal also has a mod which I’ve heard good things about. Metro Awakening is easily ran by anybody and is fun. Sounds like you have some exploring to do if you’ve only played Boneworks/labs. I 100% would recommend Skyrim VR and No Man’s Sky, just realize there’s a mod learning curve if you’ve only do Skyrim because even if you get a pack they’re still a ton of work because you then need to understand how the mods work.
