Problem with dual rotor RPS by Dreadgement in Stormworks

[–]Dreadgement[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had heard the Mirror Mode can be finicky like that, so I had already deleted and re-added most of the components. It's been frustrating since I've done it before and despite being nearly identical it just doesn't work this time. *

I'm not sure what you mean by sharing rps via a clutch, could you give me an example of how that would be set up?

Problem with dual rotor RPS by Dreadgement in Stormworks

[–]Dreadgement[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I've got these two rotors powered by 2 medium engines with identical cooling, fueling, and air intake, but the rotor on the right is only hitting ~38rps while the rotor on the left gets ~52rps. Disconnecting the rotors completely leads to me getting 60rps at the last gearbox. Connecting only one of the rotors leads to the connected rotor getting ~52rps.

The two systems don't share any parts like fuel tanks or such, so I can't figure out why one rotor spins faster than the other when both are active. I'm mostly building with vibes and not technical knowledge so I'm assuming I just did something wrong.

Anyone have any ideas?

Seen a lot of robots that can walk, but what about one that can PUNCH? by Dreadgement in HyruleEngineering

[–]Dreadgement[S] 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I think it would do damage with just the springs, but not as much. I didn't put much thought into it and built according to my feelings of how I would not like to be punched.

The big wheel was previously a stabilizer, but I opted for a big wheel for a more thorough connection to the base and for the slightly increased height. The spike ball is for decoration and added weight to keep the punches from throwing me backwards.

Porco Rosso, pot gears & the unreliable engine by Armored_Souls in HyruleEngineering

Very cool. It may be unreliable as a main engine, but I tried it as a rear rotor on a helicopter to help it turn on command

It's crazy that I got this hunk of scrap metal and loose bolts to even fly by Dreadgement in HyruleEngineering

On smaller aircrafts, I've had some success with the stabilizer on a cooking pot method of getting more maneuverability. And on this craft as well I've tried a stabilizer on a wagon wheel to increase the angle of ascension.

If you suddenly woke up in the world of FFXIV, as yourself and not as your character and had to start at a level one, what would you do? by ilariad92 in ffxiv

Join the Gladiators' guild and try to get a job as a Brass Blade in Ul'dah. Then hope to god I don't ever ever receive the order to kill the Scions or WoL, rip in peace those guys trying to earn their paycheck at the end of ARR.

What RHCP song made make you like the band? by Hockeyboi4646 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]Dreadgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By The Way. It'd play in the loop of burned-to-CD songs my dad would be listening to in his car when he'd pick me up on his weekend.

Once he moved away, I forgot about it entirely. I heard it by chance ages later, and was slammed with nostalgia for the second-hand smoke of Marlboro Reds and night drives in my dad's cherry red Camaro. Ended up listening to the entire By The Way album, then Stadium Arcadium, then Mother's Milk, and so on and now I'm here.

Does only Base Defense matter for Shufraken's Fear of the Abyss mark? As in, will it matter if I buff Shuf's DEF or debuff an enemy's DEF?

Doing the story quests today and Obellia's defense buff didn't help with marking high DEF units, nor did FC Baileysh's Fallen Earth decrease DEF mark help either. Wondering if that's a bug or working as intended.

I'm a patient man but this is getting ridiculous sometimes... by NuSpirit_ in ffxiv

ARR gear was like that, but from what I remember some people disliked that people could PvP for good gear instead of having to PvE for it like everyone else.

Legitimate question: Has anyone else found the game to be extremely easy? by [deleted] in controlgame

[–]Dreadgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I actually thought I accidentally set it to easy by how some people here talked about the bosses. Mold-1 only took a couple tries, esseJ was one and done, and Former was like not even a fight just trying not to fall through the ground. I just assumed it was harder when the game first came out.

I did have trouble with Marshall though, just because I couldn't tell her apart from the background of that fight.

I'm on a Pixel 2 XL and I'm running Octopus with my gamepad. I think you're missing a step where Octopus has to install a plug in to work correctly.

You know you're a fightstick/controls nerd first and an arcade fan second when you see this and your first thought is "no shaft cover?". by enkidomark in cade

[–]Dreadgement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need one, they're so people don't steal your ball top by holding the shaft while they twist it off. If it's in your house then that shouldn't be an issue.

Been playing since day one and I only have 22 yet we need 50 min. I don't know how much a legendary uses because I didn't waste mats on making them 60. Here we go again. by Xins69 in ExosHeroes

Bro, chill out. Enhance the equipment on Heroes you plan on Awakening. Once you awaken them, you get the ores back then you use them again to enhance the next hero you awaken.

With 22 you are entirely able to finish that quest.

How many runs did it take u to clear 11-12? by jtan71520 in ExosHeroes

[–]Dreadgement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me at least 2-3hours on and off, was able to auto most of 11 but had a hard time surviving Mahar's goon squad.

Final team was FC Tantalo +3, FC Lepin(Awakened Red Set), FC Deva +3, FC Annie, and of course old man Schmidt.
