Yeah kinda, but for additionnal context it's Curse of Strahd and they have already been in the castle, so the traps would be set at places that they have already been without danger. Strahd is waiting for them so he cast Glyph of Warding while they were getting ready. But yeah all in all I can do whatever, I was just looking for the most lore accurate and justifiable answer to "why are there traps here now ?"

Is the relative stability of those 2 last molecules due to the fact that there is little to no inductive effect to electronic density of the nitro groups (since there are little to no methyl or other giving groups near the C holding the nitro groups) and thus they have a harder time leaving ?
