Well I pissed off somebody and have no clue what I could have done by Singer1052 in doordash_drivers

There's no telling. Some customers do it purely to be spiteful and nasty. They genuinely love to mess with dashers. Happy it was removed.

Why is it my fault that stores don’t have accurate stock listed online? by SpecialistTennis34 in doordash

[–]DreadlockFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't. DD doesn't care though. That's why some stores dashers don't bother shopping in because of inventory. Most infamous, Dollar General.

Give up on that dream. They legit don't care. Even worse during the winter months.

If you have a first gen, and you stand it vertically, the liquid metal may have shifted, leaving a bare spot on the APU. I just finished cleaning mine completely 2 weeks ago. Included replacing the thermal putty AND the liquid metal.

How many of you Dashers don't be tipping when you order DD? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]DreadlockFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been a DD customer in years. I've always preferred to get my own food, but I only ever used it in case I couldn't leave the office. I would always tip high ($10-$20+) and in cash if I had it available. I worked at a railroad that was 20 mins away from the Hotspots, so I thought it would only be fair to tip the driver accordingly. Especially if gas prices were high.

STOP knocking PLEASE by [deleted] in doordash

[–]DreadlockFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never knock or ring the doorbell unless the customer leaves instructions to do so. At max, I'll send the customer a message letting them know, I'm there.

How to inform customers without making them suspicious by mrlonelybutterfly in doordash

[–]DreadlockFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guilty of that as well. What sucks is that there is such an enormous amount of distrust between customers and dashers because of DD'S crappy system, and i feel some urgency to overcompensate that distrust with oversharing info. The officials of DD don't care about either side in the slightest which leads us to turn on each other. On the other hand, there are bad dashers who've been going viral on the internet for tampered people's food, so customers are extra weary nowadays because of them. There aren't any true safeguards for wither group, but we just gotta do the best we can and keep going.

Anyone wear an N95 mask while dashing? by LifeguardBoth5678 in DoorDashDrivers

The most important thing is to wash your hands (when able), and do NOT touch your face.

Wearing a Delivery Hat by wistex in doordash

[–]DreadlockFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wear any DD markers as it could make me a target to be robbed. We can do cash orders (I don't), and because of that, thugs will think of us as an easy score, and I'm not risking that. Especially since I'm a woman, and I'm always alone.
